El's never really been much of a magic user (to say nothing of a serious offensive magic user) but this proposed change disturbs me (if not her) greatly, primarily because I seem to recall serious magic-using Rangers screaming for a way (other than bought wands or whatever) to learn TM some time ago. Obviously, they received no such way, only to learn now that, if they hope for their offensive magic to remain at all useful, they will need to to expend spell slots and seriously to backtrain to attempt to keep any of their existing offensive-magic effectiveness. I consider this unfair, to put it mildly.

That said, I have two questions: (1) Are the Ranger GMs arguing for TM to be grandfathered? (2) If not, why not?

1) GMs tend not to argue with each other. We discuss and make a decision.

2) Grandfather is on the table but we will not make a final decision until the 6 month "TM Availability" window has passed. We'll have better metrics once you have access to TM.
