<<They normally becomes GMs because they are burnt out with the game, and think that GMing will help revitalize their passion for the game. Unfortunately, this is never really the case.

<<Wanna bet?

Yes. I probably should have said rarely is ever the case, rather than never. But I'm sure you'd be very hard pressed to find a GM that only became a GM because they were truly burnt out as a player, and stuck around for a number of years more as a GM. I think the GMs that have been around a long time, became GMs because that was what they wanted to do, not because they were burnt out as a player.

I became a GM because I LOVE the game and wanted to help contribute. I miss playing my PC sometimes, but GMing is its own sort of fun for us masochistic types, and what a challenge it can be, wow. Especially working for YOU GUYS (hahahaha!)

That said, take this with a grain of salt since I am the hiring GM :-P

I became a GM because I was tired of playing.

I became a board monitor in hopes of actual productive and constructive discussion on the forums. Call me an optimist.

Lets get back to the original constructive discussion of Goals or end it.

Really excited for that IC meeting. But on the other hand, I curse you GM's for giving me reasons to move Alexii out of Muspar'i. I bet once I leave something else happens there and I miss it.

The only things I want is Beseeches to be finished or fixed. It's understandable that things happen, but when we are just left guessing if they have been scrapped, lost, or given up on.

It makes the situation worse, when we hear stuff like... Nature's Pool is done, it just needs to be plugged into Beseeches, and those beseeches were being reviewed. To a year or more later, no one seems to know what is going on still.

Don't worry!

I could confidently say i know what it's like to need something to spice up your 'playing experiance'. I've been playing dr for quite awhile now(ya,think?) and I believe I have the right to comment on this topic. I'm a burnt out thief, wm, empath, and moonmage. Although you could always try getting rid of you chars(i always regret my loss), maybe even rerolling? lol.

Also i enjoy chocolate marshmellow ice cream, romantic trips to arby's(dine in -of course-), driving the speed limit in the bible-belt of the u.s.a, casual conversation at post offices, and graverobbing/dying for countless reasons on the weekends.

Keep your chin up.
