Was something changed in the past week concerning Blend, and what actions cause the spell to end?

The first thing I noticed was no longer being able to pass through the Shard gates and maintain invisibility.
I was fairly sure I had been able to pass through them before. I know I could with Nature's Canopy before and was fairly sure I have since then, with Blend.

Now that I'm back on 'Kresh, I cast Blend and run to the southern barricade just to see that passing through an archway revealed me when just last week I could run around invisibly.

There are a lot of little differences between Blend 3.0 and what was Nature's Canopy.. some I like, some I don't, and some I still don't quite understand.
Nature's Canopy used to pulse every so often and if you were in town when it pulsed the spell would fade (with no visible sign of your appearance to others around you)
While Nature's Canopy was in effect, you could perform a lot of actions whether in or out of town, without becoming visible.
I used to use it to run into town, make something mysteriously appear on the ground, and then walk away before the spell pulsed.. that, or walk into town and just appear in a room with no indication.

Blend 3.0 allows me to walk around in town and the spell won't fade unless you perform any action besides moving (now including go ___, which recently started revealing you)
I like the part about being able to remain invisible.. but I would like the be able to do things in town while remaining invisible: Hunt, search, drop stuff, go gate, perceive power, etc.
I also kind of miss just "appearing" when the invisibility wears off, no sign of your arrival, nobody knows you are there unless they look around or you perform an action.

There are also some things you can't do while invisible now that you used to be able to.. Prospect while invisible when mining is a big one you can't do now and I miss...but that might have been a stretch to do while invisible before.
I don't care if performing a noisy action shows messaging to other people (or creatures) in the room that tells them that someone is there..even increases the chances they spot me.
I was about to add that howling while invisible does a normal howl, not a ranger bonus indicator howl, but I see that has changed.

Another thing I think is odd is, when out of town if you try to perform an action that you can't while invisible, it tells you that performing that action will make you visible.
When in town, if you try to perform an action that you can't while invisible, it makes you visible.
I am getting used to it.. and I'm not really sure how I would recommend changing it.. Sometimes I wish that performing an action that would make me visible just performed the action and made me visible, sometimes I'd appreciate the warning.. I would kind of like it to be consistent and warn me while in town too instead of just becoming visible.

..and about being able to perform actions in town. Is there any way to increase thing things that can be done? Maybe make different tiers of actions you can do, based on a combination of how much mana was used to cast the spell, your skill, or if Memory of Nature is in effect?

Nope, no recent changes. Though if a particular area's wilderness level changed for some reason, that could account for a difference as well.

A lot of what you're describing would require rewrites of a ton of various verbs in the game to accomplish (or a ton of specific verb handling with Blend itself). Blend went through a lot of iterations in Test to get to the point it is now, nearly all of them were improvements to the level of things that could be done in hiding compared to the original intent. I'm not strictly opposed to any further changes, but it's not something we're likely to look at until well after other aspects of magic are performing at the level we want.

Actually I did some updates to the verb list of what blend allows while doing some bug fixing a couple of days ago, however it should have generally opened up more options instead of less. I'll take another look at it when a moment presents itself.

The only difference I have seen (recently) was "go gate", "go arch", "go stones", using go ___ while in an urban environment now makes you visible.
It isn't a real big deal.. I don't -need- to be able to travel everywhere while invisible :)

As far as the other changes I asked about, I figured it would require significant changes and wouldn't happen anytime soon if ever.
I'm happy to see that you're willing to look at making further changes, and I definitely understand there are a lot more pressing things to do first.

Thanks for all the hard work, and the quick response.

Fairly sure I know what's wrong with go <blank>. I should be able to fix that up in a few minutes, it's just that I'm in the middle of my work week right now and don't have code access. I may be able to get it this morning when I get home otherwise it'll be a few days.

Huh. I played around with this some - I actually don't think what you're seeing is related to my changes. I did revert a few of them, but they should be invisible - it's mostly just behind the scenes technical stuff to keep the spell from breaking.

Just noticed that things seem to be back to the way they were. I am able to travel around, using go __, while remaining invisible again.

Thanks!
