A stupid question, but when you get the message "You reach towards such and such, but decide to leave some nice stuff for others", is this message on a timer? Or am I being punished for past greediness and won't be able to get fancy things (like a decent longbow) from there anymore?

I think if you get something nice from the shelf, you can't pick up another thing for a certain amount of time. It lets others get good things too, instead of letting one person getting all the good stuff.

i think after a certain circle you cant get stuff from the shelves at all or at least i can't but i dont tend to get stuff from shelves put it there instead. would be nice to be able to get stuff from shelves for newbies thou, help outfit them with good stuff. instead of having to wait on them to learn how to do it themselves, or going OOC and telling them how to get the stuff on shelves.
