Is there an easier way to work perception that I don't know about? I recently returned from a long vacation, to find that the bank isn't that "wonderful" place to type search over and over again at.

I have 42 ranks, which I've gotten by means of practicing foraging, disarm, and scouting. Someone has mentioned juggling items to me, but what would be a good item for my ranks, and where would I get it?

Thanks,
Talus

the beanbags out on aesry. which is a good place for a ranger to learn anyway, particularly swimming and climbing.

The scavenger troll bends over and picks up the Moongate. After appraising it, the troll places the Moongate in its frayed knapsack

What Gonif said- Juggling teaches far better now than it used to. Also foraging teaches more perception than it used to, and a number of my characters have locked perception while disarming boxes near or at level.

Would I find sufficient hunting available to me with 30's in combat skills, and 40's in evasion?

Not on Aesry. Double those skills and you could hunt blood wolves though.

Easiest way to learn perception as a ranger is to run trails. Next would be foraging or juggling followed by disarming.

Last time I was there you would be running most of the time and from more than 1 bloodwolf.

To add to this. The heavier the juggling item the more perception skill you need. Seems the best learning for juggling is with an item you can juggle 4 or 5 of them most of the time.

There is also catching someone stealing from you. Don't know how that rates on learning anymore but it is a risky practice these days due to Vorclaf's laws around Crossing anyway. It used to teach nearly the best for perception.
