i had an elven ranger for a while (circ 14) which walked, well, i wasnt too happy with him anyway, trying to hold too much all the time and getting weighed down so my next character was a Tog which im still playing.
my question is this: does the fact that togs are +2 to both intel and wisdom really matter that much?...everyone has told me that those two atts are worthless after 30 anyway so... plus its fun to mash gobs with a war mattock.

It's possible to train out any of your weaknesses if you work at it hard enough. Keep in mind that there is a fix coming to stats in general, especially for togs. You may want to wait around and see what happens before you do anything at all.

I beleive the only thing changing is that stamina will be -2 instead of -1.

>>The best thing about DR is that you can play most guilds as any race and not suffer too much. Being a Gor'Tog Ranger is pretty unique. If you enjoy it, stick with it. :)
I agree, I always like seeing characters that go against the mainstream.. ones obviously chosen for the roleplay potential that so often gets overlooked because they're not optimized for training. I play a halfling cleric myself, and have a lot of fun with it.. hey, short people need spiritual guidance too (and with all the Olvi thieves, perhaps a good deal more than most.)

Not at all. Maybe I'm more sensitive to this sort of thing, as S'Kra are pretty rare overall, but I think that too many people put emphasis on either stats or cliches when choosing their race. In fact, it seems that guild's almost always the consideration first, then race.
Pick a race you like the looks of, THEN pick a guild. And while you're at it, go read your racial folder and learn about your race. There's a lot of interesting stuff that people either ignore or never bother to learn about.
Good luck with your Tog.
