I was helping a young ranger last night, and I had no idea what to tell him to forage for that would teach him. It seems limbs and branches dont get him past learning. Any Ideas what I should tell him that could help him?

Your mind hears Blasword thinking, "so who knows where the lil kobold is"
think Blasword, will you go and ask politely if we can have the chalice back?
Your mind hears Blasword thinking, "yer insane."

If those items don't teach, you will need to tell them to look at this website for other items. http://www.olwydd.org/herbs/difficulty.php Also, don't forget to tell them to try to forage CAREFUL limb/branch. That could teach a little bit higher, and if not, there is a whole list of stuff on that website that might teach better.

For a new ranger, a large array of anything they can find, all foraged careful should get them learning well. But the forage careful is quite important. It is many times harder and slower to get moving without foraging careful. For items, moving as far up as you can on the foraging difficulty list previously mentioned is good. Also items many new rangers can find are:
berries, branch, wood chip, bread crumb, grass, leaf, rock, stick, twig, dirt. That should provide enough variety for them to learn better too.
