You can usually find me around Riverhaven, though I am in Zoluren for a few more days.

Just a heads-up, so you don't get caught by surprise...

Unless Paklin has fixed it, there is some kind of bug around Riverhaven that prevents tracking in most of the wilderness areas. It can be done on the deer trail out the east gate, and that's about it. If you can see the little trails around Haven, though, you should be good to go for training scouting.

There are a few mid-upper level rangers that can be found outside the city walls along the various paths and trails, and some of 'em are pretty nice about teachin a class.

You hand Wyla a baby wolf.

Wyla looks at you and says, "I'm sorry Izzit, I only work on weapons, armor and shields." She hands the wolf back.

New/Old Ranger here, some of you may remember me as Trille Trailfinder, and yes I've come home finally to the Rangers guild but in DR Plat not Prime. Anyways, tons of stuff has changed sense I've been a circle 1 Ranger and I'm having issues learning Scouting effectively, I know around 35-40 ranks you can start running trails, but does anyone have any advice for ranks 1-40?

Classes, or tracking someone/something that you can track successfully, with a lot of patience. It is an annoying skill to learn at low levels, and I've not heard of any tricks to make it go quicker. Sorry!

yes go to arthe dale and find the scarecrow and or kitten, track them and move room and track back, going to take you a lot of tries to do it but it will get you moving nicely till you get to 40 ranks.

There are two ways of meeting difficulties, you alter the difficulties or you alter yourself to overcome them.

Oh, just realized you had a question too. Your trails actually have to do with scouting and perception, which is why its a varied number (also cause of your bonus). You can always do the track, and fail miserably thing and learn. And yes, even lock. My lil TFer had a script which locked up fast and wasn't too much of an issue. However cause it is perception/scouting based, you can highly train your perception, which will make up for poor scouting. Its a bit easier to train at lower ranks, between foraging/disarming, and juggling if you're not opposed to it.

With 80 or so combined I think you can find the easiest trails.

Drop me an IM at SpiffDR.
