ok fellow rangers, here's my cards, on the table.
how should i or would you play this hand?
i'm discovering vipers and gargoyles are still teaching core skills at a good rate. hiding seems to perk up in maras up with the trolls. i need 6 ranks of med edge for circle 51, i think. any elder rangers got advice on leucros? i think if i can get into them thick i'll start learning the core "guild" skills. don't laugh at my bow skills either i didn't even pick up the bow habit till i was near 20th circle.

not to burst your bubble, but if your ME skill is correct, you have a long ways to go to hit 51st circle. http://www.olwydd.org/guilds/ranger/cr.php as a ranger you're required to have 195 ranks in primary weapon and 103 in secondary weapon to hit 51st. so no problem with yer secondary. around those skills i was training really well in la'tami and vipers and serpents. at 47th circle i find unyns on the mistwood road out the west gate of haven train me well. keep on keepin on.

Pards....Pards are bad

If gargs and vipers still teach you, then you're nowhere near 51rst circle. I just hit 30th, and I (being careful.) can hunt leucros. Gargs still teach me, but leucros lock me fast.

oops, i made an error in my statement of circle possiblities. i need 6 ranks of ME to achieve 43rd circle.
very nice that you guys caught that, shows you are payin' attention.

i have only recently discovered the joys of gargs and think it will behoove(sp?) me to work there a while.
i guess what i'm lookin' for is confirmation that i have the skills needed to hunt in leucs or a critter that will
provide me with skinning, evasion, MO, core skills.
BTW- which of the leucs and peccs are lower level crits?
seems to be several types of both critters around.
the red grizzled leucs (in shard?) near gargs, had three free shots on me whilst i was webbed and by the gawds they didn't kill me! i had time to appraise them and other than weapon skill it seems i was near their match.
thanks again rangers for your input and direction.

you'll be FINE in leucs as long as you make sure you only have 2 on you at one time. when the third comes in, web it or kill one off ASAP. with you weapon ranks, you can train ME, HE, 2HE, brawling, and longbow without a problem and can web a leuc and work many of your other weapons. been huntin in there since 30th maybe and they still teach amazingly. don't go to pards :)

Red Leucros are tougher'n Black ones.

Teach into the expert range.

Correction, teach well OVER the expert range.

S'my understanding that, after red leucros, one can move on to adan'f, if we're talking strictly hunting in shard.

Know folk who hunt red leucros and have around 220-230 weapons, still moves them decently.

Is very simple. If someone returned after the most recent circle req changes were rolled in, and was at or below 45th circle, they will require weapons to advance to their current circle.

Basically, in exchange for a lowering of the 6 rank weapon per circle to 5, what was required was raised from a lower circle up. So basically, under the old 6 per circle, by the time you hit 45th, you were roughly equal to the new reqs, if that makes any sense.

Nooooooooooooo.

Peccs in Lang are "little" peccs. On M'riss there are "regular" peccs and bristle peccs. Also bristle peccs in Rossman's. Bristle peccs are the biggest ones there are.
