Why don't more rangers hunt in this area?

Is it because of the special attacks or because it's indoors and the critters start at pole?

They just seem like the 70th circle garg type critter.

Skinable, drop boxies and swarm pretty well.

Thoughts?

I prefer bristle backed peccaries since I can work six weapons with them plus shield. Not good enough to work more then two with the germish'din. However if you want another blade there inform me.

I was having a blast hunting germs a few months back. Then they broke my tower shield and forged blade. Enough of that noise.

Its been quite a while since I was down thay way,

405 rings a bell for weapons and about the same for evasion

250-300 in MO for 3 but expect the quite a few "odd" instant death. Strange critters

I hated celps! Only one decent mana room and the fact that you can't aim at them makes me give them 2 thumbs down. If other rooms had half way decent mana then it would be a viable option.

Boooooooo celps. I went in there again the other day... I could tear em up with like 375 HE, but with 420 bow it took like 10 arrows to kill one. Basilisks will teach evas to 475ish, and from there I hopped straight to polos. Booo celps.

Celps tear up webs, so no, they were not webbed. I like to use snipe when hunting so it didn't make sense to web them... usually by the time my hide RT was up after casting, they were out of it already, heh.

I can stand for a time with 3 polo at melee, 310ish MO, but I don't usually sit around like that long enough to learn much MO, basically just long enough to kill the extras. 55 reflex + SOTT.

Germish'din are easier to kill than regular adan'f - because adan'f use weapons and can parry. If it wasn't for their special attack, the grab, you wouldn't need much evasion against germish. I don't know if their special attack can be blocked or not with a shield. If adan'f are challenging to you, don't move to germish, you'll die alot. Germish swarm and they start out at pole. Their boxes are much richer than adan'f and much harder.

And, actually, I do PAFO all the time. That's what people do in a game.

I could very well be wrong, but I seem to remember the germish'din special attack as being either blockable or evade-able. Keep in mind that I've never hunted them myself.

For real? It's possible I just suck at magic... in fact, more than possible. I always get some message like, 'The celpeze claws angrily at the bonds holding it' or something like that and they break out...

My magic isn't so hot, and I never have a problem snapping a web on a celp to immobilize it for whatever reason. I do tend to keep SOTT up while I'm hunting, though.

>You gesture at an asaren celpeze.
>A thousand tiny spiders crawl out of their hiding places and begin crawling over an asaren celpeze, trapping it in a cocoon of sticky webbing.
>Roundtime: 1 second.

Once they're webbed, I'll get the occasional:

>An asaren celpeze struggles helplessly in some webs.

Eventually, if they're not dead already, they break out of the web:

>An asaren celpeze manages to escape its sticky bonds.

Wow... you're totally right. I could have sworn the last time I really tried to web them, they slashed out of it right away, like snowbeasts or whatever else... Guess I was wrong. There was definitely something though with celps and webs, I know I wasn't making this up! I swear!

The throw is both blockable and evadable. Reason why I didn't hunt there for long is because they do big time damage to shields and weapons. Screw that noise.

There are just better options out there than the Germs, which do swarm and drop a lot of coin and boxes.

Not sure on that. My last experience was going in with a tower shield from Theren with no damage to getting thrown/slammed and having the shield (and forged scimitar) break.

A good piece of advice is to go there with store bought/critter dropped items.

Never hand a problem with a well constructed scim down there.

Crossing scims break all the time, take 3 or 4..

As for the throw bit, once you hit about 50 reflex its very rare.

I think it may be even lower then that. The only time I was thrown was when I let four of them get to melee and couldn't put my bow away fast enough. Of course my higher evasion (for my circle) may have offset my lower (for my circle) reflex.
