Anyone have suggestions on some good critters to hunt? I've been doing cougars mostly. Tried Bobcats near Crossing but they don't gen quickly enough. Am I ready for Rock Trolls or should I hold off a bit?
On another note. The things I'm hunting won't budge my skinning. I'm getting most of my skinning ranks from scraping the pelts afterward, though even that is dropping off on cougar skins now. Is that how it works these days, or should I be able to hunt a critter that'll move my skinning just from skinning them?
Thanks again.

Hold off on the rock trolls. But as another suggested, you can do eels, with caution. Or the Fallow Fields in Ilithi. I'm not sure what the gen is in nyads/dryads in Leth, but those should be a good fit too.
Good hunting!

I've been in eels but I think I'm pretty done there. I've been in reavers and wind hounds. Just wondering if anyone had any other suggestions?

Might take a trip up to Theren and check out blood wolves, see how you do one-on-one against them. Depending on your stats of course.
Also might check out snowbeasts in Shard if you're looking to travel.
If you're trying to stay in the Zoluren area I think rock trolls are probably your best bet but you can try cave bears or beisswurms.
