Hello, there was a post in the tanning folder that gave different skins used while making thick leathers. One of the skins listed was serpent. Could someone remind what critter you skin to get serpent skins or hides? Either I've never fought them or I dont remember doing so.

Piruati (or something like that) serpents are in with vipers outside the east gate of Haven. Go down the path just outside the gate, and then climb the bank into the river/brook after that. They're a relatively new critter, released when that area was opened a few years ago maybe? Whenever that was. They yield 5 parts per skin.

Theres river boas skins on hara, and theres serpents out east gate in haven in the river there between frogs and the nightstalker unyn/rhoat moda area. I also think there is some sort of serpent or river boas or something near throne city, although I was only there once, a long time ago. I am not sure which would make the better leathers though, as I have never tried any leathers pattern.

I posted results from both boas and serpents, along with some others, in the Tanning folder. I'm currently working on another bunch of skins to add to that data. Here's the boas vs serpents:
Elementals were fair/fair for fire and cold and mod/fair for electricity on both. Thick leather pattern.

Thanks to you both. I was in there one time I believe, but its been a while, so I sorta forgot. ::chuckles:: Got some leucro hides curing to see how I do with them as well. Let you know how I do on barghest and serpents. (I can make thick gargs but I need a lot more mech and leather armor,)
