Recently, and with all my ranks in perception, I've noticed that our Ranger Team has gotten pretty darn sick of our complaints. I might add that it may even effect their motivation in their production for our guild. I also noticed that the last time we praised our Ranger team was Waaaaaaaayyyy back in May.

So, I introduce 31 days of brown nosing. I will, as well as anyone else that would like to join in, brown nose and praise our Ranger Guru's for 31 days straight. Who knows, it might be that little bit of positive motivation they needed in order to finish that certain project they were working on.


So, for my first day I just want to say thank you for being as patient as you are with us. We can be a pretty persistant bunch. Yet for some reason you all take it on the chin and never leave! Rock on!

While trying to be positive for a change is always a good idea, I think the good effects of your effort might be lost if you insist on calling it brown-nosing.

Agreed. If I were a Ranger GM, I'd find this "effort" pitiful, if not humorous. In neither case, would I feel inspired.

We all appreciate the work the GMs put into the game, and we always want more. That is the way of things. Brown nosing is not the opposite of negativity.

I think a case could be made for Barbs having the best skillset were stealth not broken.

So yes, Rangers have the best skillset.

I agree. 5.7 ranks of hiding per circle and I can't hide melee on hatchlings, yet I can dance with 3 of them all day long with ~20 ranks less multi, evasion, parry and ~40 ranks less shield. All in all, though, I'd still take weapon primary over survival primary strictly for the mindstate benefits.

Man, I don't know what you're on, but expecting any even reasonably sane GM to take "brown nosing" as a compliment (to say nothing of drivel that has no meaning that you intend, I guess, as "complimentary") has got to be the most misguided sentiment I've yet seen on these boards.

Day 5:

I just want to say thank you for keeping the circle reqs the way they are for us. Sure, they are hard and probably one of the hardest in the game to reach on a circle to circle basis, but that's why we are Rangers. That's why, back in the day, reaching that "Ranger" title at circle 30 was such an honor, because you truly felt like you reach something. Thank you for having that vision and seeing it through.

In fact, it means you rerolled and just recently joined the Paladin Guild. That's how extreme it is.

Day 6:

Just want to say thank you for the pace update. I know that it has been in game for a bit now this year but I've only really had to use pace only recently and having that little extra detail about a room is pretty cool.

On that note, pace really needs to be updated. A way to check it from hiding would be a start.

Special thanks to Daert for all his work on Aesry, that place is almost looking like it might be fit for a ranger some day. though i'm still holding out for trails on it, I think he's doing a great job filling in training gaps and doing things that build community there.

What has changed about Aesry other than the stairs?

By the way, I figured 400's climbing would do near-instant climbs, but it still takes a few pulses on each step, if anyone was interested.
