Any chance of allowing Commoners to use a 'timer' for gwethdesuan use, rather than concentration?
Or perhaps modify the concentration forumla, for use when a Commoner?(Takes overall skill ranks into account rather than circle?)
Currently, a Commoner would need ~100 points in Discipline to have 10 Concentration points. I can't even think of any guild members with 100 in Discipline, never mind a Commoner.

Victory by any means necessary.

And while we're at it, obliterate the "CIRCLE FIVE TO USE KYANITE!!!!11" rule.
It's bad enough that I can't think with a jadeite, but donning a kyanite to see 'Nothing Happens' when something does happen (eat#1 charge), isn't fun. If you won't give the guildless thought abilities, which I think they should have, at least let them listen in to both frequencies if they choose.

I hear you, Batdog! I think it's pretty silly that an unskilled guilded person can use the gweths while a highly-trained commoner cannot.
I seem to remember a GM or two saying they were going to look into this situation- but it was long ago and I've not really heard anything recent.

Frankly, the gweth problems was the major reason behind my choice to quit Platinum. I enjoyed playing my Commoner immensely, but I felt as though I was completely cut off from any and all interaction due to the fact that nobody was around (and certainly not in ship's rats and field goblins) and that I couldn't use a gweth to interact with them if I wanted to.

<<Yup, not referring to AIM at all. It's an IG, IC thing, and makes things a heck of a lot easier these days.>>
Eh, we'll have to see whether or not I come back. Frankly, I find that Prime has better and more varied RP than Plat does (I know, I must be on something!) and generally have more fun in it than I do in Plat, for whatever reason.
The gweth thing was sort of the straw that broke the camel's back. Not being able to interact with virtually anyone unless I was on at prime time and decided to forget all about training or making money was something of a bigger issue.
