i'm considering creating a commoner and was wondering what RP options are out there. Are there currently any commoner groups or "clans"?

Unfortunately no, not that I know of. Though there were some PC run events tailored to the younger characters which welcomed commoners a few months ago. Generally commoners are treated one of the following ways.

1:Wow, you're a commoner? What's it like? What guild are you training for?
2:(whispers) I know your name, don't think I won't kill you when I see you with risen, you little stupid (insert many insults here) necromancer in training!
3:[somewhat rare] Wow, A commoner fighting in here? That's new.
4:[also somewhat rare] I respect those, like you, who decide to make their own fate, rather than following that of a guild.
5:[somewhat more common] WTH?.... How does a commoner have more of this skill than me??

Feel free to start up your own clan, or RP a commoner's gathering, that'd be kind of fun, actually.... Since the poor commoners don't even get their folder.... And the thief folder actually MOCKS them with 'For discussions pertaining to the Commoner's Guild' as a description...

Have to settle for a folder within a folder which sees an average of 2-5 posts a month.

There have been a few commoner groups, but as there are so few true commoners and many of them have left the groups tend either to go dormant or to fall apart altogether. Still, there is no reason why you can't attempt to start a family or clan of your own.

Riddler is a rather famous commoner. She likes to run Riddle games and give out prizes. She is a resident of Crossing.
