Yeah, I know, that's a stupid title. But really, it's not that we commoners want a bunch of stuff made for us, and yes, a commoner is basicly one who refuses to advance and partricipate in their own personal development. But there are a few things which would make life a lot more bearable, and i'm not just talking about the necro's to be, I mean the true commoner, nowadays, an UNcommoner.
Would it be that tough to code it in so we could listen to kyanite gweths? As is, if a commoner puts one on 'Nothing happens'. But something does happen, it takes a charge, for no reason. On a jadeite gweth, we can listen, but we can't think to anything. Our options to listening to the other frequency, is paying some moon mage an assload of platinum to make gweths out of lasmodi stones, and most won't even give you a second thought, or try to charge you kyanite (1 plat/charge) prices for it.
I'm not filthy rich, but it would be nice to listen in to all gweth stuff. Maybe you could make it so commoners can send out one burst of thought every 5-10 minutes, maybe about 5-10 words. "Hi xyz i'm at talberts" if someone's seeking them or whatever.
When playing on another character, I tried to send out a huge thought, and saw I couldn't cram all that into one burst of thought, I notice my concentration dropped by like 150, so I decided for giggles, to try it again. I wound up at -83 concentration. Point is, it wouldn't matter if it sent the commoner negative, nothing bad happens, it would just be nice to be able to use this feature.

while on the subject; when a commoner bonds a non-commoner, the commoner can be focused by their mate, but the commoner cannot clearly discern where their mate is when trying to focus. Focus is a perk of bonding, it should not be part of concentration or whatever guilded status it works from, right now its brokeded.

for some people, a commoner is just too young to be stolen from ( a commoner that is not a new character), from others not.
havent really tested it yet, altho commoners CAN be stolen from, just not by everybody apparently.
for commoners the ferry ride from leth deriel to crossings can be put onto your debt (no coin needed on hand). havent risked it recently, but it did work.
and I disagree with not joining a guild as a lack of personal development. being a commoner does have its combat vices, but it also enables a style of play that is completely free of circling pressure (so long as your not a pvp monger) not to mention learning everything at a respectable rate. Commoner chars are fun, try em.
