A conversation on ethics on 05/08/2017 10:26 AM CDT
There I made a new thread.
You are not responsible for my actions and by the same token I am not responsible for yours.
Trying to lay the blame for a community problem at the feet of a few people with opinions is ridiculous.
Even more so ironic considering the call for personal responsibility is apparently suspended the moment a flash light is shined on ones own behavior.

>Trying to lay the blame for a community problem at the feet of a few people with opinions is ridiculous.
The thread was on witch hunting of alts specifically on out of game and out of play.net forum mediums, and was specifically regarding reddit, a place you recently have been quite plainly identified as having used alts to repeatedly try and stir up conflict and/or complain. The PROBLEM was alt use/abuse. The 'person responsible' for alt use/abuse in this case was you. This is not a community problem - metagaming and alt abuse in game is a separate issue that is discussed frequently and is unrelated to this specific matter.
>the call for personal responsibility is apparently suspended the moment a flash light is shined on ones own behavior.
Yes, the colloquialism you were looking for is 'pot calling the kettle black', and it is typically mentioned to address matters of hypocrisy. The irony is that you seem to still be deflecting instead of assuming personal responsibility for your behavior, which has led to people recognizing your alt accounts. It is hypocritical because you are whining that people need to pay attention to their own behavior, which is *quite literally* exactly what people have said to you.

<It's virtually impossible to have a legitimate conversation with you
The very point of the witch hunting thread was that PEOPLE could not have a legitimate conversation with the community because they were being confused as being me.
<Yes, the colloquialism you were looking for is 'pot calling the kettle black',
No actually I said what I meant. I was just hoping you might give me some insight into the evolution of the market economy in the southern colonies, prior to the revolutionary war? Is this witch hunting or good will hunting?
<a place you recently have been quite plainly identified as having used alts to repeatedly try and stir up conflict and/or complain
<The 'person responsible' for alt use/abuse in this case was you.
I suppose when you're a hammer everyone starts to appear as a nail.
Why can we not report the words of staff members on alternate websites? Such as reddit or twitter?
It is because their accounts do not reflect the Simutronics entities we know as GM's themselves.
Those accounts could be anyone.
It does no one any good to assume I am everyone who detracts from the status quo or everyone is me.
I am however, Spartacus. It should make people sad to know I am occasionally approached and told my opinions have merit, but they are afraid to weigh in for the repercussions.
By the way, just out of curiousity do you like breaking bad, if not, SaulGoodman

Most people aren't doing this.
What they are doing is assuming any account without an actual post history past agreeing with yours, that takes on the same victim of the majority stance and flailing about with haughty deflections tone is more than likely you.
If there actually are other people with your exact same style who just happen to have created their accounts right around the time of one of your rants out there, they're becoming collateral damage of yours.

Putting aside the rest of your deflections and flails -
> It should make people sad to know I am occasionally approached and told my opinions have merit, but they are afraid to weigh in for the repercussions.
Would it change anything to note that people frequently express enormous frustration with you opinions and approach? Would it change anything to note that people can concur with issues you point out that have merit regarding the game, and STILL ALSO SIMULTANEOUSLY AS WELL recognize that your opinions and approach is problematic?
I.e., your behavior being a problem is not invalidated because you also correctly noticed it was raining, and said as much to the person reaching for an umbrella. And furthermore, said individual reaching for said umbrella noting that you correctly identified that it was raining does not, by virtue of agreeing with you that it is in fact raining, also stop recognizing that your behavior is a problem. Do you understand this? I feel like many interactions with you are an entirely lost cause because you are seemingly incapable of recognizing an iota of personal responsibility for your actions/behaviors, and any time this is pointed out to you, you simply deflect or point out that 'someone once thought I was right about a thing'.
Shall I underline?
>The very point of the witch hunting thread was that PEOPLE could not have a legitimate conversation with the community because they were being confused as being me.
It appears as though ONE account on reddit may have been improperly accused of being your alt, though it is entirely possible it was your alt. You coming here to complain that people are now paranoid that you are posting as alts, is a valid complaint, but the UNDERLYING ISSUE is still that you are posting with alts. Do you understand? You have correctly identified a symptom of the problem. You are the problem.

It's like if I ran around yelling "THE EVENTS TEAM IS CONSPIRING AGAINST ME" (tip: they're not), then I created a bunch of other accounts to also yell "THE EVENTS TEAM IS CONSPIRING AGAINST ME" (reminder: they're not), and then once everyone is desensitized to brand-new accounts created for the sole purpose of yelling "THE EVENTS TEAM IS CONSPIRING AGAINST ME" (recap: they're not), someone who is DEFINITELY NOT YOU I MEAN UH "ME" posts "THE EVENTS TEAM IS CONSPIRING AGAINST ME" (refresher: they're not) and they're met with the same kind of eye-rolling.
Worst case scenario: there are two dopes instead one one really determined dope.
Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

Note that your continued deflection and unwillingness to respond in good faith is still, again, literally exactly what numerous people have pointed out is an issue with trying to discuss things with you, and still, again, literally exactly what you yourself whined about earlier when you wrote "the call for personal responsibility is apparently suspended the moment a flash light is shined on ones own behavior".
While I'm super glad you recognized what the issue is (your behavior), it's not even really annoying as much as it is telling that because the issue is your inability to recognize your behavior as problematic, that you are unable or unwilling to respond to people addressing the point that your behavior is problematic.

Literally exactly..

We are talking about witch hunts and the behaviors of those who partake, I stand behind my every comment which condemns that behavior. People chose to attack me personally for that stance, not the other way around.
Literally exactly...

You're doing a good job of the "deflect by any means necessary" thing you brought up, yeah.

I'm just curious are the people open? If so eet doesn't matter. I haven't read the reddit stuff because I find eet quite lame. I mean I don't know the whole story of this situation and I would love to keel Tarlof everyday but I get tired of hearing bully and metagaming lame excuse for anyone to use ever.

<Just FYI, if the account Amish is the player/character Torlaf (or however it's spelled), that is indeed the root of this discussion.
