So I have been gone for a pretty long time and I have been told by one or two people that snipe really has no place in pvp anymore for us because with shadowstep its pretty much all about backstab..Any comments?

depends on what you are stronger in... quite honestly, when I went to the last tournament, snipe is still king.
and the bonus that steady gives to LX and HX is a much bigger deal than advancing to melee faster if you still can't BS someone
