Was wondering if there could/should be titles based on jailtime like bumbler, jailbird, escapee, hardtimer, lifer, safecracker, Traderhunter, etc. Not being a Thief, I don't really know much about your Guild but I thought since you all get more time than most guildmembers do, there might be a way to count time spent, fines paid, and crimes commited and give titles based on those counters.

>Remove "Must be a Thief" or find a new definition to support your reason to make it Thief only. Nothing in your current definition says "Thief Only."
Why do I need a new reason? Just make it Thief only.
Why is mugger a thief only title? Nothing in that definition says "Thief Only" either.

If we ever get some real gaming halls with various games, we could get some decent titles pertaining to gaming. If we get even luckier and get ways to cheat, we could get some cool thiefy titles pertaining to that as well. I'm just too tired to remember all the ones I came up with one day. Sleep deprivation is a terrible thing. Especially when you have run out of coffee and mountain dew.

In which case he would be a pirate captain. or better yet, if a captain of a boat decided to turn to piracy he could, thereby becomming a pirate. So it fits. Who are you to dictate who can and can't choose to become a pirate with the ship they paid thousands and thousands of plats for? They can't Physically Pirate the open oceans, but they CAN RP it if they so choose. Don't have Pirate envy. Instead come up with more titles for us to get.
~Blood Wraith Elec, Elitist of Elanthia, an Elven Face Shooter
~I WILL RUIN THIS HOUSE WITH MY ANGER! -Master Shake

Thats like saying who are rangers to say i cant be a drifter when i drift, because it requires scouting duh, man you just argue to argue. Pirate captains should have to own a boat but it should not be a requirement to be a pirate, not all pirates owned boats is all i said. By thief i mean like all the ther ones open to all (criminal) just requiring thiefly skills, hopefully even BS tho.

<<Uh, where the hell did you get this one? It certainly doesn't mean anything... and this definitely isn't a ninja turtles game>>
Oh, it means something.
Mouser: (n.) An animal, especially a cat, that catches mice.
Don't see how that'd be applicable as a title though.
Marksman Ahmir Nam'al
"That is why I have chosen DR and stayed with it for 2-6 years. Time is confusing to me." -Aiwix
PS: Oh my god they're called IMs. They're not pigeons. Nor are they pidgeons or pidgions or pidgins.

Careful with that, don't want Valcer coming after you. Oh wait...

I think at least five of these come from otherworldly fictional sources. (Character names from the books of Fritz Leiber, Robert Aspirin and I know Silk was a thief in some book that I've read but I can't put my finger on it)

Actually what would make me even happier would be to get out pretend titles fixed.
-Fake ranks should not use percentages. It creates far to big of a gap at higher levels.
-Fake ranks should be applied to overall skill requirements and to titles in other categories.
-We should be able to set pretend titles as post titles.
-We need to get what little diguise perks we had put back in. Dismantles, handshakes, etc.

Re: More Titles on 05/18/2006 06:12 PM CDT
I agree with Ascot. I think all of those things implemented and phase 3 (or whatever phase it is) should be done before we make pretend guild's permanent. At least then the majority of the dust will have settled and we have a better idea of what we're getting into. I think that's important on an decision like this.
Yes things can always change at any time, but I think it's backwards to rush into making things permanent when we know there are (hopefully) major changes/additions coming over the next few months. I would like to keep my options open until that happens.
