So yesterday I was trading, and I caught Alar stealing from me. I was all excited that I got to accuse at the clerk again, but then I realized I was still in town. So, I went to the Guard House at the East gate 'cause it was the only one I knew of, but when I tried to accuse him I got some message about how I needed to type out the full name and be in the right city..so I just decided to drop it.
Today I was at the guild, getting ready to head to Tiger Clan, when I caught him again. On my way to the bank, to get rid of my coins, I noticed hey, there's a Guard House right there. So I went in and accused him; this time it took. When I went back to the guild, to continue trading, this happened:

I mean come on, was that really necessary?
He was conveying his anger in the only way acceptable without getting "in trouble" over getting caught. However, 2 slaps would have conveyed the message. Over that is redundant and infantile.
More than 2 slaps also would consitute consent should you choose to persue that avenue. I'd drop it if I were you though, and laugh all the way to the bank. :-)

It stinks, the only thieves I've caught since the thugs went into effect have both been in the Crossing, so I haven't been able to send the posse after them. Usually the only ones I catch are low circle ones out by Tiger Clan and I just kill them myself. A couple weeks ago I got 2 of them without any favors within a couple days of each other.

Alar has a problem with praying on Traders on the routes getting caught multipul times and being an arse if you catch him. I suggest a few things for you to try. If you catch him in town accuse him to the Guards, if you catch him on a trader route. Thug him. If you just want him beat down find someone willing to do so. Although just keep it IC contact someone IG or maybe a rep of the unguild he belongs to and ask them to have a chat with him. I'll be off duty and home sometime tomorrow afternoon around 6pm est.... :hums: And yes you would still have to find me IG and talk to me about it :grin:

What I dislike is the RetreatX2 + hide routine.

Oh bother with it all...he shot some more arrows at me and tried poking me with his dagger a bit, but the whole thing became more a headache than worth my time at it.
I really don't like how it takes 2 days to approach someone but they can instantly retreat out to missile range. I ended up just riding on.

I am absolutely humbled, that jerk Alar gave me two moderate bleeders on an unprovoked backstab with that dagger of his. Gotta hit the gym I guess.

My HE is equal to my Longbow and Composite Bow which are equal to each other (still deciding which missile I want to keep...leaning toward Comp Bow), therefore making all 3 weapons a happy group. I just find I finish things off faster with my HE.
Course, you are the second Trader I have heard praise LX...it might be a good PvP weapon, yet I have found it isn't all that great for hunting critters, which is where I get all of my ranks. I prefer not to PvP, but when attacked, I will fight or flee, depending (yeah, I will not stand up a cyclops...I ain't suicidal...talk to me though when I am 99th).
I ain't honor bound to fight to the death. I prefer the offender just leaves after a few wallops from me than standing there being a pest or wanting me to finish em off. Never a good feeling to kill another player for pettiness, or vice versa die.
