Granted, my trader is over in Plat- but most of my characters are magic-users, and I have been playing with trader magic. Lunar magic in general is a very different beast from any of the other flavors. You may sense fluctuations as the moons travel about. Have you tried casting any spells?

Lunar magicians should still be getting the "You feel fully attuned..." messaging.
I can't think of any settings that modify the notice; not spell briefmsg, nor harness verbose or warn... do you have an odd squelch?
