Before I run out to rent an empty caravan and test this all out myself, it may be worthwhile for me to just "ask" here. :)
Does anyone have a list of how long it takes to get from one Zoluren trading post to another using a standard caravan (yeah, uh... as opposed to what? a super one? :)
For example:
Wolf to Tiger: 6 minutes
Tiger to Crossing: 4 minutes
or whatever...
I'm working on establishing a set of guidelines on how I keep my caravan running the most efficiently. Obviously I don't wanna travel from Leth to Dirge without picking up a Tiger contract, etc. But Just wanted to know about how long it takes from each of them for the reference.
Thanks kindly.

I'll ask my friend when she signs in. She was the webmaster of mytwokronars.com and I believe that info was on there. She is working on a new mytwokronars (and it's going to be on a different domain, since someone is camping that domain..:grunt: )
Also, just something I noticed...I believe that all caravans have the same number of cylinders and gears...so a steel-wheeled caravan will go as fast as any other. It was something that they wanted to do (I think) but never happened. But I don't know much about that far back in the guild history...Didn't even know about POCs until someone mentioned it a while back.

You get a burnt orange amaryllis.

But you don't have any hair! Where are you going to put it? Don't answer that!

You know, I was trading yesterday and thinking of this. I don't wanna hijack my own thread with a different discussion grin
However, I seem to recall at one point there was talk about wagon wheels breaking (I don't remember if they ever did), and other "on the road" problems that could happen. Needing a caravan repair kit and such.
I know a lot of you are probably groaning (especially the zombie purchased moneywalkers) since it would break scripts and make the routes more difficult. However, I think it would be a much more fantastic addition to the guild to have something that could add some excitement and change in the routes. Perhaps contract values could be increased with the degree of difficulty and random problems. Highwaymen, broken caravan wheels, spooked animals.
Like I mentioned earlier, it just seems that I return and had to add a gate in my script and now I just stare at the screen as Timbre goes on walking the same old paths without any changes.
I got off topic. My main question was: Did we ever have where caravan wheels would break? Or was it a discussion by Godrich? Or did I just dream that up?

Wonderful script.
In fact, very similar to one that's been being sold. Hmmm.
I've seen your script and it's very nice. I'm working on making one that coordinates a little more checking at different sections to divide the route up. Pretty similar, yet, different grin
Anyway, like you, I discovered that the best way to create something that works is to begin fresh, building on what some others have done (yours and EZTrader are both very nice) but custom tailor it to our own requirements and interests. :)
Thanks again for the wonderful link and offering it to the community. I may send you mine when I get it more towards a complete version.

Sorry for the extremely late post, i have been Very busy...

Amazing that...
Anyhow, I saw your script and I like it, I feel that it is a little too slow for my uses, but perhaps we could come up with a system that has both benefits.

>Oh one more thing I forgot to put in. Would timing depend on your connection too?
Caravans leading take pretty much a specific amount of time.
the best thing to do is use Timberwolf's script, or time it for yourself.
I personally put in a very short set of actions and leave it at that. But i'm Obsessed with running as many contracts as fast as I can.
