The turnable shelves mentioned in a previous announcement (http://forums.play.net/forums/DragonRealms/The%20Traders/Game%20Master%20and%20Official%20Announcements/view/280) have been released at a new shop at Guild Fest. You can find the grey canvas tent for As the Caravan Turns outside the alterer's pavilion. This is a introductory release and there's only a single option of each type available. A special, new alterer will make an appearance sometime in the future (after guild fest, likely) to give folks a chance to customize your options to your own tastes.

The sign in the shop covers the basic information:

1) Only ONE of each type may be purchased.
2) You must purchase a shelf first.
3) You must have a personal caravan.
4) Once purchased, you can NOT exchange it for another option at this time.
5) A special alterer MAY be available at a later time to make desired customizations.
6) All sales are final.

Point 4 is just there for the future when more detailed options are made available in future appearances of the merchant. At some point, we will have an exchange mechanic available, but until then, you're stuck with what you buy.
