I was wondering if there could be sold forging books with racial templates in them. I'm thinking racial weapon templates like the elven iltesh could be sold in a special book at the barbarians guild hall and racial armor templates like gnomish plate mail could be sold at the paladin guild shop. Perhaps even racial tools, like gnomish pliers or something, could be sold at the Trader guild?

Why would they be sold in a guild shop instead of the crafting society or, preferably, just tossed into the existing crafting books so we don't have to worry about carrying around even more crafting books?

These would be special, far more expensive, and give the guild shops a little more pizazz. I figure the traders would like to have something special they alone could sell, too, in the form of racial tools. You could even sell the books after buying it from your shop because only you could get into the shop and perhaps only so many could be sold from said shop per month or something? I imagine those would be popular among the hardcore craftspeople.

I'm all for suggestions, but could we limit them to being posted once? No need to post the same suggestion in multiple folders.

I'm still trying to figure out the organization of the forums here, honestly. Sorry! It affected three guilds so I figured I'd try to give everyone a fair shake. I dunno.

Suggestions for the crafting systems typically go in the Lore folder because crafting uses lore skills. The guild folders are for things specific to each guild, such as abilities and spells. Crafting books are not specific to guilds at all, regardless of where they're sold.

Crafting is not guild specific. Where would you get that impression?

Through the crafting affiliations. Barbarians get weaponsmithing, paladins armorsmithing, and honestly I just thought it in theme and fun for Traders to get a niche with tools.

Those are a nod to days past; The new direction is moving away from x guild makes y the best to ranks and skillset placement being what matters.

And that means that only those guild care about those, right. Please continue this train of logical thought...

Oh I'm all for the new direction- its just that as a side effect the guild shops are, well... boring. I thought this would be a neat but not vital little thing that would give someone a real reason to head to those shops. The paladin guild shop for example, has next to nothing anyone wants anymore- except something with a crest on it from time to time. That's it- almost a waste of a room. The idea of where they are sold are not the focus of the idea, anyway, I just know that lots of people are looking to make guilds stand out in different ways and I thought it would add a little flavor. Besides, what Trader complains about a semi-monopoly on a product? I wouldn't be broken-hearted over it being sold at a forging society but I just tried to kill two birds with one stone- sometimes in doing so you miss! lol

Let's not bicker.

As has been suggested, find the ONE folder that your suggestions would be most appropriate in and post there.
