Good Evening All,

On Sunday, November 23, at 10pm, the Aether Cabal convened an informal meeting. Well, all right, I was more than half hour late. But Angelanthasia waited for me, and she even kept Phlinx there, too. Thanks, Angel!

As a group, we confirmed our current aims. 1) To research and study spells of the Aether book, and 2) To establish a uniform policy on Blackfire. It seems wise to keep 1) on the back burner for a little while longer, and to get back to it once DR2 is rolled in. At the same time, we'd prefer to hold off on 2) until we have a larger membership base, so that we can be sure our decision reflects a majority opinion.

But we still had a really nice chat. Angelanthasia told us of some stirrings she has heard in the area of Blackfire, which concerned us all. For the time being, we have agreed that we do not desire to use Blackfire for destructive purposes, nor do we wish to see it used thus by anyone in Elanthia.

Angel also encouraged us all to visit Throne City, and to take some time to read the fascinating volumes stored there. Phlinx told us that he's something of a world traveler, and then we said that we should check out Droughtman's Maze.

Finally, we agreed that it would be great if we set up a special hunting event to showcase the Elemental Fissure spell. We want to open a large number of fissures in a hunting ground in order to facilitate hunting by Warrior Mages. Naturally, a welcome side effect will be increasing the visibility of the Aether Cabal. Look for the event in the new RL year.
