Good Evening All,
My mistake last week was that I posted the meeting minutes almost immediately, and then didn't remind anybody about the meeting until a few hours before it. So this time, I'm doing both on the interstitial week.
This week, we welcomed Zelphan and Zalinyar. Both were new, so I took some time to tell them about past Cabal activities and future aims. In our discussion of Blackfire, Zelphan helpfully told us of Yelish's use of the perverted element in his campaign of terror agains the Bards. Zalinyar, having just run through the Crossing, told us that a fierce invasion was raging just ouside the walls of our guildhall.
We also engaged in introductions, somewhere along the way. Zelphan, an Elf, is a world traveler whose family was slaughtered by the slai. Zalinyar, also and Elf, has lived in the Crossing all her life. She tries to ease the acclimation of newer members of our guild.
We talked about our various spells, particularly those of the Aether book, and after DR2 arrives we all hope to get back to studying our spells on a grander scale. Both new additions support the proposed idea of an Elemental Fissure hunting event, and Zelphan mentioned that the Bards, who use Elemental mana as well, also have a song (Nexus) that increases mana flow. We agreed it would be a great idea to get them to join the party, so that is something we'll look into if the Cabal is able to establish a sufficient base of members.
Well, that's about all. The next meeting will be a week from tonight, Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, in the Aether Chamber of the crossing guildhall. You should all be around, anyway, because on Saturday night you won't want to miss me receiving my gold medal for the Kaith Kirm familiar beauty pageant, right? Go, Therengia!
