Aetherial Evening,
I'm pleased to announce that last week's meeting saw the Cabal's first repeat attendee, Holbein! Yay! Of course, I know that schedule conflicts and prior engagement have been to blame for keeping some of you away, so we'll just keep on keeping on next week, Sunday, January 18, at 10pm Eastern in the Aether Chamber of the Crossing Guildhall. The discussion topic will be: "What is your favorite Aether spell, and why?" No, really, I'm serious; we need to liven these things up!
Anyway, as for last week's meeting, Holbein and I were joined by Ilyth, a recent Albarian immigrant. We chatted about the upcoming war and about the nature of Blackfire in relation to other types of mana.
Hope to see you next week!

As official bootlicker of Magmus (I'm actually rather enjoying the title, thank you Commander or Lieutenant -- I know I can't spell, by the way -- or whoever you were...I wasn't paying too much attention ^.^;) I would like to extend my scowl to you, David. Scowl scowl scowl.
Okay, I feel better. I'll go back to eatting shoe polish for my next session. I did promise Khory I'd do hers.
((I know, I know, you had to be there to get that. ;.; Sorry!))
Mytherceria's Player (Otherwise known as 'the perfect servant of the Great Fire'....to myself at least.)

<<No, no, no. SHARE the contraban ::nods vigorously::
::In a sing-song voice:: I'll never share...
Unless Rigby or Valdrik or Talian or anyone else that has been linked to Blackfire wants to make me able to scribe the spell on to Vellum. ::Nods sagely::
But on a side note, Magmus (at the urging of fellow Mages, Mytherceria for one) will be bringing back 'The Sons of Arhat' soon. Expect to see more posts about it soon, and, anyone interested...feel free to contact me for details.

>>Lieutenant Elriic Melniibone>>One day I'll remember to go so I can get a good look at the destroyers and usurpers of the Warrior Mage guild.
Hmmm. Which is more devisive, a group of people who are interested in intensive research into one of many little known aspects of Elemental Magic, or someone who is part of a military organization that is all-too-similar to the type of separativity that created the original elemental clans?
Now, Elriic, you need to keep in mind that there are (or have been) 7 different cabals of Warrior Mages. Several members of the various cabals have been members of more than one cabal, at the same time. The purpose (and, so far, actual activities) of the various cabals have been to allow those mages whose interests lie strongly within one element a chance to find others with similar interests, and that they have, so far as I can tell, always shared any information they have come up with with the entire Warrior Mage guild, not just their fellow cabal members.
My suggestion to you, therefore, is to drop your membership in an organization whose sole purpose is to engage in combat in favor of joining the various cabals, and doing what you can to hgelp keep them true to their stated purposes of research and informing the WM public of the results of their researchs.

Don't forget, that meeting is tomorrow night at 10pm Eastern. All are welcome to attend. And while you're at the guildhall, take a look at the newly redecorated interior. There's a lovely element wheel in there, and Gauthus actually has a desk! The staircuse leading up is the same as ever, so you shouldn't have any trouble getting to the Aether Chamber. Oh, and the new topic of discussion is Aether Pathways, since they came out this week!
