Would there be any way for the color on the shield on someone to show up in a "look" at the person?

It would be very amusing to see someone who got covered by an ES from a WM who can MES with a hue on, an dhave them show as the color of the shield they got covered by.

Probably require too much of a programming effort for the minor payoff, but I thought I would throw it out as an idea.

Came from watching a WM with PH up casting ES with a MM in his group, who would see a "hued" ethereal shield come on, but then the color pretty much disappeared. :(

It could be done like MoF where the shield shows up above your name, or done like SoTT where the shield would show up above below your features but above your wounds. Either would be acceptable and I'd be happy for it.

It's possible, but resource-intensive -- something we like to stay away from. For a major effect like Mantle of Flame this is a good use of resources, but for something minor like a colored ES it's just not worth it in the long run.

That's a shame, since MoF is self-cast only (understandable, or we would have one of the nastiest damage spells in the game without any reall skill/stat contests involved); while ES is fairly easy to cast on someone else, either through MES (skills allowing) or just as a standard direct cast...
