<<BTW, it's funny you mentioned halberds. I've gotten about 5 ranks in halberd in the last week. ::snicker::>>

Glad to hear it!, halberd is way too overlooked as a great and versitile weapon class. Shame they have such bad construction, but being able to have a one handed pole ranged weapon, that I can also throw, to me is worth all the work I had to do to make it my main weapon. Not to mention I can drag out my khuj if I want to not use my shield and have sheer power.

That made me think what will happen with our personal sentient weapons that are thrown weapons. I loose sooo many thrown weapons to being booted or just foolishly forgetting them, hopefully our sentient weapons will bond somehow so they return to us, and the janitor can't eat them. Hate to put a year of time into working up a weapon to just have it dissapear to something beyond my own control.

<<I was only hoping that meant that some underlying system was being finished that sentient weapons would be built upon.>>

More than likely sentient weapons will be a standalone system apart from sentient instruments. This is mainly because instruments can't be weapons, and instrument "items" are intrinsically different than a weapon "item" is. So while fundamentally/theoretically speaking sentient weapons and sentient instruments may be somewhat similiar in concept -- on the technical side that's not really a plausbile way to do it. Except for mebbe some outer cosmetic stuff.

if the gweth doesn't give you a headache, everyone practicing music will, it does give you a greater appreciation for all those bards who actually play well.
