Now that the updated system is in place and the existing cantrips are upgraded, I thought I would post some information about the new cantrips.
Here are the seven new cantrips:
1) Aethereal Image (aether, 2nd tier)
2) Will O Wisp (electricity, 2nd tier)
3) Flashpoint (fire, 2nd tier)
4) Crystallize Ice (water, 2nd tier)
5) Reinforce Stone (earth, 2nd tier)
6) Gust of Wind (air, 2nd tier)
7) Pattern Hues (aether, 3rd tier)
Aethereal Image will create a small, shifting cloud of aether capable of displaying various random images.
Will O Wisp creates a small sphere of pure electrical energy that seems to possess a mind of its own, darting to and fro and occasionally even zapping random targets with harmless bolts of electricity.
Flashpoint enables the caster to destroy small, nonmagical, low-value items that are held in the hand with a quick burst of incredibly hot flame. Perfect for cleaning up after yourself.
Crystallize Ice will halt the decay of certain simple elemental ice structures, such as those created by the Frost Scythe spell.
Reinforce Stone will halt the decay of certain elemental stone structures, such as those created by the Fist of Stone spell or the Stone Seat cantrip.
Gust of Wind creates a strong gust of wind that can blow certain items out of the room, close or open unlocked doors, and generally perform some of the same tasks that the Air Blast cantrip does.
Pattern Hues creates a faint colored aura around you for a short time. As long as this aura is active, certain spells you cast will take on the color of the aura. Currently my testing has been on the Chain Lightning, Lightning Bolt, and Fire Shard spells. Other spells will be modified to work with this cantrip before it's released. This cantrip sparked the idea for a contest, which I'll post about shortly.

On Friday the new cantrip system will be rolled into Platinum, along with the following six cantrips:
Aethereal Image
Will O Wisp
Flashpoint
Crystallize Ice
Reinforce Stone
Gust of Wind
Platinum will get at least a week to play with (and break) the new cantrips. If the cantrips and the preview system survive intact, they'll go on premium preview in The Fallen and Prime for another week or so. After this period of time, the cantrips will be updated to general preview for a few days.
Following the preview sessions, the cantrips will be updated to general release status in all instances.
During the preview, you'll be able to cast the new cantrips without having to learn them from a guildleader -- provided you meet the cantrip's requirements. While a cantrip preview isn't as spiffy as a spell preview (since there are no 'cantrip slots' to use up), it will save you a trip to a guildleader and let you play with the cantrips without interrupting your roleplaying or powertraining. ;)

The new Warrior Mage cantrips are now on Premium preview in Prime and TF. Those who meet the requirements for the cantrips will be able to test them out. Check news 3 19 and/or news 3 20 for the requirements. Enjoy!
