I know it's a lot to ask with all the work being done on 3.0, but I'm curious if we have any planned spells.

I remember there being talk of a cyclical spell that turned familiars into a combat pet.

Also curious about if Rimefang is coming back.

Are there Elemental Transformations for Water/Air planned?

I'm still very interested in seeing this happen, but I think familiars need some work in general first before it can really be considered.

Yep, it's just one of a few spells that still need some work done to them.

Not formally, that I know of, but it's a fair idea for direction.

Rimefang was one of my favorite spells, will it likely return in a similar function as the current one? Or will it be greatly changed, into a standard TM spell?

I think it's planned to be cyclic with faster pulses than ROS but melee only. Since ROS changed to cyclic, that might change though.

It'll be a Hylomorphic spell instead. No ETA.

Last question:

Any idea on an ETA for Sun Lance? I'd love to be able to train Sorcery conveniently.


Suggestions:

Enveloping Winds, Elemental Transformation:Air
I'm imagining Stamina and Reflex with an evasion boost. Pulsing unbalance to things engaged at melee. Athletics boost. What would be really neat is a feature sort of like mounts, where you could move more than one room at a time. Obviously not all of these at once, just throwing out ideas for an Air element transform.

Fountain of Mana, Elemental Transformation:Water
All I've got for Water is some sort of mana regen, maybe health regen.

I'd also love to see AEG add a small level of damage reduction (think Calcified hide), but I don't know if that's possible.

For air I was thinking a pulsing aoe debuff to balance at melee, a pulsing increase to position (rather than balance like SuF) for you, and a reflex boost.

Water I was personally thinking something like Damage Reduction, Slowing of attacks that hit you (If a blow lands or glances, it has a flat increase to its RT due to the slowing of the weapon as it cuts through water), with a boost to mana regen.

Electricity I was thinking increased speed (You get two attacks at once for 1.5x RT...lightning speed you might say, har har), reactive damage (If you attack the mage you get tesla coil zapped by a gar-zeng like effect), Wisdom or int boost.

Aether I thought would passively be like a beefed up version of aether cloak that you could stack with it and didn't hinder you on its own, and a buff to TM/Discipline but gave you penalties to weapon use.

The mechanics of the reactive electric attack are already there with Stormbulls. Need ES up or a wooden weapon to prevent it.

Love the Aether transformation idea. I'm imagining it making the mage sort of phased between the Elemental Plane and Plane of Abiding. Increased spellcasting abilities at the cost of reduced physical abilities.
