TO Mayor Talliver Dabbings:

The Ice Giants came to the North Gate this evening. We were there to greet their emissary, who called himself Valfald of the Black Cairns Clan. After exchanging pleasantries, he informed us that his peoples' shamans can see a path to a place of unnatural green in their visions. More importantly, they have agreed to help us search for this place. In the meantime, in order to garner trust with the Ice Giants.. We will be hosting Valfard as our guest. He said he would return within the next few days, and will be staying with us for a time. He said this will earn us the trust of the Black Cairns Clan. It is my advice that in order to help us inform the people of Icemule Trace about our incoming guest, a notice be posted where everyone can see, along with word of mouth.

PS - He also seemed woefully displeased by the walls of the town defenses. Perhaps this is something we could talk with him about fixing?

Greetings, I hope this missive finds you all in good health! Very soon, we will be hosting an emissary from the Ice Giants: Valfard of the Black Cairns Clan. Please do not be alarmed when you see his presence. He is not our enemy, and I wish you all to extend your warmest welcomes to him when he arrives. We do this in good will to hopefully garner the trust and help of his clan.
