I just wanted to give a shout out to Valyrka (and other behind the scenes folks) for this wonderfully collaborative event. You showed an openness to take our ideas and use them, and executed it in a way that allowed people of all interests to enjoy the activities... whether it was taking down wasteworms, displaying loresinging skills, picking away at rocks, or sharing and utilizing magical knowledge. I've always found it somewhat difficult to get involved in the various story lines going on as a recently returning player. This was one of the most inclusive events I have seen since my return. It was easy to step in and participate without feeling like I had no place among the well-known. I am pleased so many people were given the opportunity to contribute freely to the excavations and history. Absolutely well done.
And to my fellow players who participated, thank you for an enjoyable and welcoming experience. Daevian made many new acquaintances and even has a new found love for the giants. Your creativity was astonishing and your passion for your various areas of interest was vastly obvious. You all played a big part in the success. I look forward to future endeavors, conversation, and collective play.

Valyrka, thank you thank you for such a great event!!
I wanted to echo a number of Daevian's specific compliments as well as voice a couple of my own. I, too, have had a difficult time getting involved in story lines, and I agree that this was one of the most inclusive storylines I have ever seen, and I found it incredibly easy to just jump in and contribute how I could. I very much appreciate how you A) scheduled in advance when these storylines would pick up, and B) offered varying times of day and days of the week made it very easy for a player like me to get involved. One of the biggest challenges I've faced in getting involved in other storylines is how they are consistently at a certain time during which I'm unavailable. But your format seemed to try to accommodate everyone. So, thank you for that!
The story was very engaging, and the fact that the artifacts represented all the Elanthian races made it very easy for any character to draw from something personal in acting out their engagement with the story. Please keep it up with more story lines like this!

Thirded!
Thank you to Valyrka and the other GMs who ran this event. In addition, a big thank you to all of the players who poured their creativity into this. While I enjoyed the digs (and very much appreciated the scheduling), yesterday's presentations were wonderful and definitely my favorite part.

Echoing all the thanks in the earlier posts. It was lovely to see such a diverse range of players and characters involved and able to find their niche. More of the same please!

Valyrka put together a really great event with real potential for player involvement. It was fantastic to see her work and be a part of it.
And while Valyrka is super impressive in her own right the real show-stopper for me was the player input. From the dedication to the days of digging to the detailed presentations. The players really ran with this and produced what I think are terrific embellishments to Elanthian canon.
Plus it felt like the good old days of grabbing the character sheets, getting together with some friends, strangers, and refreshments, and doing some gaming over the course of the week.
It was fun! Thanks!

Clunk glances at his boots, hesitates, takes a deep breath, and stops counting.
'Spose I shuld stop.'
Both Clunk and Thuunk have cursed the Red Rot and the war that started it for about 20 years now.
Their backstory for the game has always been 'refugees from the South'.
The story filled in some when the Official History came out, and the Southron Wastes, Rhoska-Tor, and Maelshyve were all way south and indicated to be in the same general area. Clunk began to say "da teached me to only fight undead.', and ended up with the quirk of rarely fighting living things.
They were able to add to this with "don't want to end up on the wrong side of the DemonWall" when the Human Histories came out.
This event was extremely well planned, and playing through it was almost second-nature, as nearly everything was consistent with the story of the past twenty-five years - from their perspective. And better even, there was a whole bunch of people joining in, to offer their perspectives on the same event.
I also would like to say, I hope we never settle on their being one 'true' story that we all agree to. Sometimes the seeking matters more than the finding, for it is there that you come to understand exactly why those from different backgrounds see things differently.
Thanks you to the whole team of GM's, and the group of players who joined in.
Dwarves live to dig.
