There were some weapons--I think at the December 2016 Auction?--that were specifically designed that way; do you know if yours is one of those?

Possibly so I only recently acquired this one, but I do think it's one of the Ethereal Weapons. It has the same name as the one won in 2011 as a part of Droughman's challenges, but appears to either have a lesser enchant or the one posted in the wiki is incorrect and it is the same one, I'm not sure.

>While Intuition is not a prime stat for wizards or sorcerers, Intuition is also one of few stats where no race has a penalty or outlier bonuses. Influence, on the other hand, massively penalizes many races that pures play. It's bad enough to suffer from this for 340, but it would really render using 330 moot for any decent gear with a +20 variation for max racial penalties and bonuses.

Totally agreed on this, and hope it gets reconsidered, just due to the racial penalties vs intuitions lack of. In regards to RP, I think intuition can still apply, considering that 308 uses it for deity awareness, which can be tailored into the need for blessing something.

Sanctify (330) and the Bless updates are now available on test. You may use DEMO PROFPOINTS to grant yourself 50,000 profession points. This command has no cap on usage.

The decision to go with INF in the formula is disappointing. As is the decision to use the same thresholds as 735, while ignoring the fact that clerics are forced to split their spiritual lores 3-ways for religion, summoning, and blessing, while sorcerers only have to choose between demonology and necromancy. 330 already only works on undead only, making such a training decision even more punitive.

>At 90 and 180 ranks of Spiritual Lore, Religion, Clerics gain an extra charge of a Holy Fire flare (that is guaranteed to trigger on their next attack).

The holy fire final 200k cast on the test server seems to buggy.

I have to agree with this...

Now there's an incentive to have 100 blessing lore for 330.

Summoning lore is practically required for 240 to be good....at least ~40 ranks imo...but most will probably want more.

That leaves ~60 for religion, not including Ascension and enhancives.

I think the first threshold should be fairly attainable for a cleric with 2x lore training...and the second one should be the one that requires either some sacrifice in blessing/summoning or significant enhancives+Ascension.

Some questions:

1) Does 330 give holy water flares or would you still want a 304 bless to get those until you replace them with permanent holy fire flares?

>"Permanent holy water and holy fire flares will add a penalty of 50."

2) What does this mean with regards to the above question? Is the 50 penalty intended only for the 200k permanent holy fire flare tier?

3) Is the 998 bless cap going away?

Regarding the 304 bless bot concerns:
- I agree that bots are a problem here, especially given the power level increase coming to 304...and I think now that 304 is no longer required for undead combat, it's ok to make it harder to get a 304 cast.
- I'm not sure a difficulty check is the solution, because there's already a "penalty" to getting a lower level cleric to 304 your item, in that the bless lasts significantly less time
- I like the idea of giving 304 some sort of resource system that discourages bots. I don't think spirit really works because bots will just be fast-regen races on nodes...and it would also be annoying if I'm about to hunt and someone wants a bless and that means I have to rest for 5-10 minutes longer.
- I think a separate resource pool based on experience could work - that way bots would have to earn exp in order to keep blessing. Make it fairly trivial but still a constant requirement. Maybe a resource pool with a cap of like 1000 points, filled by exp gain, and blesses cost 1 point per swing. That would be fairly easy to fill up regularly, but requires exp gain, and makes 304 casts have a small but nontrivial resource gate.

Regarding the concerns about blessing duration-

What if Bless didn't remove all of the damage resistance? What if it was only equivalent to T3 or T4 Sanctify? Undead become a little harder to kill, and so what? Sanctify becomes a little more useful, and blessing becomes a little less useful. It might be a nerf, but it's a pretty small one. And the min-maxers will triumph in the end.

There's your reason as to why not... Don't punish those who don't min-max to try to hurt those that do, and will triumph in the end anyway...

It seems a claidhmore will wipe the floor with most undead in test now, unless they are in plate. Is this intended?
