MINUTES OF GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING – June 4, 2012

The General Membership Meeting was called to order at 8:35 p.m. In attendance were: Eruherin, Acerbe, Azona Leyann, Ashra, Katrionna, and Tanivar.

SECRETARY’S REPORT: No minutes were put into the record because the co-secretary was absent from the last meeting due to the sleep required for the taming of Molly the Monster.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Azona gave the Treasurer’s Report. We have 232,816,133 silvers in the coffers.

OLD BUSINESS:

Arkati Quest: The Arkati Quest is this Feastday (June 9 at 7:00 p.m. EST). Those planning on helping should meet in the courtyard 30 minutes early. The Mentors will help but we do not know how many we will have help. Definite helpers were Eruheran, Acerbe, Azona, Ashra, and Tanivar. Leyann and Katrionna will try to be there.

Quarterly Report: Eruheran told the members that the Quarterly Report is due soon. All of our upcoming events and things we would like to have built are included in the Quarterly Report. Tanivar would like to see a special house tea on the cart and will send a scroll with the recipe. Acerbe would like to have our house name on a plaque put on the cart.

It was the general consensus that our name should be seen more to attract active members. House Sovyn has a rich history and we do not want our house to be a membership of lockers.

Also discussed were house containers for donated items. At the moment there is a basket in the game room. Other possible location suggestions made could be trunks in the basement level, cupboards or closets in some of the rooms, or a container in the foyer.

Outside locations for friends of the house, although not desirable because of poachers, could be the paladin room or the workshop. The garden is already foragable and a fish pond would be a nice amenity to add.

Helping Hands: The Helping Hands event will be held next month on July 20 at 8:00 p.m. EST. All help from the membership is greatly appreciated.

NEW BUSINESS:

Officer’s Elections: On June 20 officer’s elections will be held for House Sovyn. Anyone having an interest in holding an officer’s position should submit their interest in a position to the officer group at Sovyn-officers@yahoogroups.com by June 13. If you are already an officer and want to re-run your interest should also be sent to the officer group.

The General Membership Meeting was adjourned at 9:25 EST.
