It's that time of the year again! The CHE Solstice Ornament Contest is here again! Every member is encouraged to design a House-themed ornament for a chance to represent House Sovyn in the contest.

This year I'm allowing two submissions per person. You don't have to do two, but you are welcome to do so.

All designs must follow the basic alteration rules; they can either have a long description, or a 15/15/15 base description and a show. If you have any questions about those rules, please ask an officer, fellow member, or anyone else who is familiar with the rules.

Please send designs or questions to Sovyn-Officers@yahoogroups.com by 11:59PM EST on November 8th. Additionally, you can submit your design at the monthly member meeting on November 4th.

Officers will vote on the winners during the officer meeting on November 10th. This does not exclude officers from submitting designs, but if they do they'll be excluded from the vote.

Prizes are as follows:

1st - 500k (may choose any combination of silver and up to 3 prizes from the prize closet). Also your ornament will be hung on the Solstice Tree and you're design will be entered in the CHE-wide contest. The winners of the CHE-wide contest will win additional prizes. Last year each House winning ornament was available for sale so you may also be able to own a copy of your design.

2nd - 250k (may choose any combination of silver and up to 3 prizes from the prize closet)

3rd - 125k (may choose any combination of silver and up to 3 prizes from the prize closet)
