Members and friends of Paupers:
Last night I was informed of action taken impacting the future of the House of Paupers. To minimize disruption of people's plans for next week and beyond, I'm reporting the news to you as quickly as I am able.
It is my sad duty to report that two officers, our Enforcer and Dame, have made unexpected exits from their Board seats.
The officers have my deepest gratitude for their dedication and service to the House of Paupers and their unique brands of creativity, passion and dangerous wit will be greatly missed. It is my hope that they will return to the board in the future as Paupers is lessened by their loss.
These personnel changes will not impact the upcoming Spring Fling three day multi-house event. It will however, severely impact the induction schedule (even more than it has already been disrupted by the plague of illnesses and life's mishaps that have befallen the Board members) in the short run.
At this time, I cannot guarantee that inductions will be held on a regular basis until we can fill the empty board seats, so rather than antagonize people waiting to gain membership (and bigger lockers - ya know who you are) the scheduled inductions will be suspended until further notice. As soon as new Officers are seated a new schedule will be posted and regular inductions will resume.
<(Hint: Applications are available, please send an email to HouseofPaupers@gmail.com for one if you'd like to join the board and work to contribute to the continued success of one of Gemstone's oldest Houses.)>
Whenever possible impromptu inductions will occur upon request, however, I cannot promise to have forum access to post the information timely so will rely on the in-game systems to make announcements. Prospective members should watch for the criers and keep your thoughts open in the evenings and weekends.
My apologies for these abrubt, but under the circumstances, necessary changes and any disruption that they may cause to members and potential members. The remaining Board, me especially, appreciate your understanding during this time of transition and please be assured that we will continue to work to bring members and non-members alike enjoyable events with lots of opportunities to win tons of silver.
Thank you for your patience.
Respectfully,
Kynseiyn, Warden
Chair of the House of Paupers
