I just received word that a guest of the Tower was left behind during a portion of the evening. For that, I apologize. I was focused on the event to the point of distraction, and missed that this person wasn't AFK or logged off. Again, while my character may not care about such things, the enjoyment of everyone involved on a Player by Player level is definitely a primary concern of mine.
I would also like to thank everyone that showed up. I know the event was late into the evening, but we were working to accommodate multiple schedules across multiple time zones. Second, I fully understand that things come up and players are called away, even if they have already pledged to be in attendance. While I never take it personally as a player, it would be poor roleplay to overlook such things entirely in the course of Elanthian events.
Finally, I know there are a lot of very bitter attitudes towards this House for a variety of reasons. I have seen some of them first-hand, and hear many such complaints by word of mouth. All I can say is that I am willing to listen to any genuine criticism leveled at the way the characters and the players of this house conduct ourselves. Beyond that, I would point out that everyone from the Old Guard is gone, aside perhaps for Debia. If you had problems with Starsnuffer, Kree, Starshadow, etc I would suggest letting them go. They have long since either moved on or sold out. The Obsidian Tower now serves as a roleplaying vehicle for the Dhe'nar and Khanshael cultures. I understand that players have issues with those aspects of the game as well. For that, I wont apologize, but again, if people wish to voice criticism with the way we portray these cultures, speak up. I'd prefer the chance to respond directly to some of the comments I am hearing, rather than have them continue in other, less inclusive venues of conversation.
