Just wanted to throw out there, I had a great time Friday night. Some of the most fun I've had in a long time.
I can't even begin to remember everyone that got involved but it was the very thing that I most enjoy about this game, just how weird and random things can go when you are with a good group of people that can just wing it.
It started with Seomanthe dying and apparently, she was murdered. Was just standing around doing nothing and she died. Everyone ran to find her and indeed did find her dead on North Ring Road in the Landing.
From there, for no particular reason things started getting a little silly. She ended up being raised and Seomanthe, Sir Brinn, Arpelli, Aeronous, Chisandra, Rtune, myself and others decided to help Chisandra on an escort task to Solhaven. Things got a bit more silly on the way down and everyone was RP'ing along with things and just going wherever things took us.
Once in Solhaven several of us somehow decided to try and burn either Solhaven or someone in it. I've no idea how that happened but that's when things got decidedly weird.
We ended up in North Market and Eugenides, Rtune, Seomanthe, Arpelli and several others just ran around being generally insane but it was a lot of fun.
Thank you all for a really fun evening and for really helping make Elanthia enjoyable!

I am glad this all turned out to be fun for the lot of you. This was not an easy task for me to accept, knowing how CvC is pretty much frowned upon. The only reason I accepted to do this is because every reason given to do so was for RP reasons.
I spent the better part of a week devising a plan to make it possible, killing someone that is usualy surrounded by capped adventurers and getting away scott free is not as easy as it sounds. I do regret not being able to RP this more before actualy making the hit, but my work hours make this very difficult (just checking my e-mail can be daunting at times). Neathon was sitting at a table in the SolHaven inn hoping you all would come to the table for some interaction, seems I remembered everything except a crystal amulet.
To Seomanthe, I would like to further express to you that I have no personal grudges against you or your friends and this was done simply for RP reasons and only that. And please if there is anything I can do to make up for any loses do not hesitate to ask. Simply put, I was made an offer I could not refuse.
I'm looking forward to the next few weeks/months and seeing where this all leads to.

Hey Neathon,
I never felt it was a personal thing, no need to worry about that at all. Deeds are inexpensive and the time I spent playing it out was well worth getting offed. In fact, I would not mind playing it out further, should Seo ever run into Neathon again. I can imagine that playing a hitman is rough, with balancing CvC/RP, etc.
The IC problem I have with getting assassinated is that it puts me in a weird spot with having to be brave in the face of all the terrors that GMs throw at me, while (sort've?) being expected to fear getting assassinated by a PC. It doesn't make a lot of sense for Seo to be swayed by Neathon offing her, when she's been ambushed by mob-bandits (and demons. and golems. and death-worms... etc... ) umpteen times already, you know? This, of course, is totally not a reflection on your RP decision to take the job, but just being a little baffled that the job was offered in the first place.
Outside of that, I'm also not looking to get griefed by whoever hired you with having what I see as a nonsensical contract on Seo's head sooo I'm hoping that I am not going to get offed anymore, lol.
Ok, this was way outside the scope of the GK folder so far but watch me bring it around - GK to Neathon for getting away with it ;)

You may put a contract on Geijon, but you will then have to insert a "In Soviet Russia joke..."
As an actual response I've found it hard to bring up the topic as Geijon with Seomanthe or really any CvC. The situation I think it ties into the overall protect one another vibe and be on the lookout, but if we bring it up we'd have to logically work it out and that would probably bring continued repurcussions on Neathon, which I don't think is where we want to go either, so much like the whole evil eye incident we've had to kind of accept it happened and move on for continuity, or address it live and see where it goes because we can't or couldn't resolve the issue completely as we're restrained mechanically and cooperatively by the person/groups involved in some of these.
I think overall restraint has continued to be our necessity for survival as we're "Searching" for the Summoner leader. There is a lot of we know you know, but we can't prove it on both sides of this. We could logistically annihilate people rather than demons (We're really good at this), and the continued living state of the Ta'Mori validates this restraint, but many of us have moral and ethical codes (MHOs or character) that dictate what is an acceptable action or response. I think we've been consistant here.
Maybe what does fit is we could apprehend Neathon or have him arrested in some way. We'll have to see.
