One could be to have a magical state be provided to the AG member assigned a specific bounty so that they manifest as a critter, then must go and hunt down adventurers! So they are given the task of becoming a big mean ugly cave troll and must successfully attack an adventurer or NPC provided adventurer in the area of assignment. This could be a lot of fun and add some zest to the experience as those who happen to be hunting in any area could suddenly be dealing with a juxtaposition of characterization, more action and differentiation. If the critter-character is able to retain some of their own powers, wherein they do not have the limitation of a typical critter they are emulating, then it could be a definite recipe for a lot of depth.
Another may be to use profession based skills to accomplish a bounty. Rangers might be assigned something requiring S/H, companions, survival skills, etc. If this is assimilated into the system of design then players will be making use of their hard won training points more directly and complexly.
Gladiator Games could return via AG! An assignment to win a competition. It can be with player-character options or just NPC adversaries, but a rich experience with some nice variety to the same AG quests after these years.
