Is there a purpose for the "agree" verb outside of roleplaying? I understand we can already nod in agreement and speak in agreement (verbiage). It seems unusual to have a roleplaying verb that seems to convey something to the room without explaining how. If I agree with someone, for example, how exactly can others tell that? How can the person I'm agreeing with tell? Is it that I'm nodding or do I say I agree? Maybe worth a suggestion for improvement.
When an author in a story says
Doug disagrees with Kandor.
you probably conjure an image of that particular interaction, while I may conjure a completely different image.
Kandor agrees.
This likewise is very clear, yet allows a certain artistic / experiential image that can differ for each of us.
It's a powerful mechanism, and it should stay, unaltered. In fact, we need more 'imagery' verbs, not less.
The imagination is simply too powerful to waste with explicitness.
