As promised, here is a recap of the meeting. If you have any questions, let me know!

CHANGES and ADDITIONS to the current MHO Rules.

ALL CHANGES outlined will go into effect January 1.

Required Annual Events.

Currently, each MHO is required to hold a certain number of events each quarter. This will change to a semi-annual requirement, with the exception of T1 groups, as follows:

T1 is required to hold 1 event each 12 months.
T2 is required to hold 2 events every 6 months for a total of 4 per year
T3 is required to hold 3 events every 6 months for a total of 6 per year. Structures, or lack thereof, have no bearing on these requirements.

Bookmark https://sites.google.com/site/gs4mho/ultimate-mho-guide/event-support/event-guidelines/event-ideas - there are some ideas here for you in case you struggle with coming up with an event to host.

That site is full of information - structure building guides, tier guidelines, how to submit calendar items, and much more. I try to keep it updated as I go.

You say, "To clarify, I will not be counting events by the quarter, but twice a year - semi-annually."

Hometown Rule.

Currently, each group must hold a certain percentage of events in their hometown. This is being removed. Any group may receive credit for an event held in any town (provided it meets the criteria for an event), and will not be penalized for holding events in other, more populated areas. However, I strongly encourage each of you to continue to host events within the smaller communities.

Hometown Moves.

Any MHO may move their hometown (provided you haven't done this already previously) for a fee of 500k. This is a one time move, and cannot be undone. Your structure must move with your hometown, and will need to go through the same process as if you were building for the first time. Permissions will be required from the Town Guru, and any building code restrictions will also need to be applied to a current structure.

Co-hosted Events.

Beginning in 2014, any co-hosted events must be at least 60 minutes in length, and have a minimum of 10 participants. Members may count toward eligible participants, but must be actively participating in the event. T3 and T2 groups may only receive credit for up to 50% of their annual required events, so T3 can receive credit for 3 co-hosted events, and T2 groups can receive credit for 2 co-hosted events. T1 groups must hold one event (their only annual required event) as a solo event.

Co-hosted events require a minimum of 10 participants, 60 minutes in length;Single events require a minimum of 5, 30 minutes in length.

Also for Co-hosted Events, please submit a separate event report for each participating group.

ADDITIONAL CLARIFICATION: Festivals hosted by MHO would need to be a minimum of 2 days. At least one event per day would need to be held by the festival host. A festival host would receive an additional "event" credit, for hosting/arranging/setting up the festival. Groups who participate as part of this festival, provided their event is NOT co-hosted, would receive full event credit. Likewise, if two groups participated in an event together, it would qualify as a co-hosted event.

CLARIFICATION: A "festival" would be defined as a multi-day event (2 or more days) and must be advertised as such. The hosting group (only) would receive an additional event credit for hosting the festival. An event must be held by the hosting group for each day of the festival. Other groups that participate as part of the festival would get sole credit for their events held within the festival. If two (or more) groups host a single event during the festival, then it would be counted as a co-hosted event. Otherwise, it's credited as a single event.

Spur of the Moment Events.

A spur of the moment event is one that is, well, spontaneous! There is no pre-advertising for the event (ie: calendar, news, crier) and you use only the amunet and word of mouth to announce it. You are still bound to the rules for qualifying events, in order to receive credit for the event. T2 groups may utilize 1 spontaneous event, and T3 groups may utilize 2 spontaneous events.

Prize List Requests.

This applies only to T3 groups. Each T3 group may submit a prize list, of up to 12 items, twice a year. The first list must be submitted between January and June, and the second between July and December. If you submit your FIRST prize list request in August because you forgot about January and June, you lose that (first) prize list and will only be eligible for the 2nd period list.

In addition, please look over the list that exists on the MHO site. (https://sites.google.com/site/gs4mho/ultimate-mho-guide/appendix/approved-prize-items) These are items that have already been approved for MHO use. Each group can request ONE new script each year. There is no guarantee that this requested script will be approved. This is specific to each MHO, and a script approval does not guarantee that item's inclusion on the overall prize-list.

Also, make sure to check over the approved spell list, as well (https://sites.google.com/site/gs4mho/ultimate-mho-guide/appendix/approved-spell-list) to make sure your requested magic item is valid.

Calendar and News Submissions.

Try to get your calendar and news items in far enough in advance so that I have time to note any necessary changes, and then get it turned around, so that it is available at least two weeks in advance. This gives you (and me) time in case there are necessary changes, and then gives the players a chance to plan to attend an event. Spontaneity is a wonderful thing, but sometimes it's best to plan ahead of time and make sure your schedule allows one to attend any given event.

Calendar limits vary by tier. T3 = 6, T2 = 4, T1 = 2.

Demotions.

Currently, the rules are based on annual requirements for T1 and T2 groups, and quarterly for T3 groups. Since I'm changing the quarterly requirements to semi-annual requirements, that also affects the demotion rules. For a T3 group that fails to meet the first half of the year's event requirements (so, 3 events), the structure would close for a minimum of 30 days.

During that 30 day period, if the group holds a qualifying event, then the structure will re-open on the first day of the month following that 30 days.

Failure of a group to meet the annual (or semi-annual for T2) requirement for events, would force a demotion. Obviously, a T3 group that is demoted would lose the structure until the group regained T3 status. For any tier group, regaining the next tier after a demotion achieved by holding at least one event in a 60 day period. For T3, the structure would open on the first day of the month following that 60 days. Subsequently, if you didn't hold an event until 90 days after demotion, then the structure wouldn't reopen until after 120 days, so it will run on 60 day cycles for this.

Long Term Benefits.

This applies only to T3 groups with structures. The current list for the LTB cycle is almost complete, and will bring all eligible MHOs up-to-date with their MAJOR LTBs. Minor LTBs are an ongoing cycle, and I get to those when I am able, between other duties. Currently, the only MAJOR LTBs that exist are 1 point at 2 years, and 1 point at 4 years. I will be adding 1 point for 6 year status, so once I get through the current MAJOR LTB list, I will be circling back to the beginning, for those who quality for the 6 year point.

That's all I had for changes! I hope you all find these changes helpful. If you have any questions after tonight's meeting, please email me at GS4-MHO@play.net and I will respond as soon as possible. With the upcoming holidays, my responses may not be as quick as they've been in the past, but I'll do my best to get to you quickly, at least to let you know that I received your mail and will get back to you.

Q: Noblerm asks, "Is there any possibility of having more crier messages saved up to reuse?"
A: I will look into this and see if there's any way to offer additional criers.

Q: Jadzara asks, "Did the new allMHO script thing go on the site?"
A: This item could be requested individually if needed/wanted. I don't want to put it on the site as an "always approved" item. If a group is interested in having an item that needs to be dropped/picked up by their MHO, I'd prefer an email to me.

A rainbow colored pony appears from behind the couch and struts around the room. (?!?)

Q: Can we have a way to send messages to members no matter where they are in game.
A: Tier 3 MHOs have their own ESP channel. There is not anything in game currently that would send messages to members offline.

Q: What about something more publicly nifty, like a messenger delivering someone a message in TSC?
A: This would not be something available to MHOs.

Q: What about functioning shops for an MHO to sell wares?
A: I do not see this being available any time soon.

Q: Will there ever be a time when an MHO has its own account to be able to deposit AND withdraw silver?
A: I can see where this could be a useful addition for events, whether offering cash prizes OR using the funds to purchase something to be used as a prize or raffle item. It is possible that in the future, a tool could be added to the current HALL commands, but for now, if you are in need of funds for the above, you may send me an email. The email must come from a current officer. State a) How much you are requesting to be withdrawn from your endowment, b) What is the purpose of the withdrawal, c) Provide proof of the fund's use (ie: gave to a player, purchased an item for raffle, etc., include in event report). I don't see this as a way to provide funds for MHO transport to other cities, however.

Q: Is there any chance we can have more crier messages stored that we can reuse at will?
A: The current limit is 5. I will investigate the possibility of increasing the current limit on stored criers.

Q: Kenstrom asks, "Are MHO structures considered open range to kill players inside of?"
A: Yes.
Q: Mazreth asks, "For any of us?"
A: Yes, you too.
Kenstrom says, "Cool. I've got planning to do then."
Kenstrom suddenly fades out of sight.

Q: If such an account does become available, would we have the option of moving silvers from the current endowment into that account?
(I think he actually asked the question five times. Sorry, Giogionni! Blame all the whispers.)
A: See above.

Q: Roster cleanup. Currently this can not be done if the players are offline.
A: If you need some roster clean up, send me the list of those who you want removed. I'll take care of it for now. Otherwise, I'll look into revamping the tool

Q: Could you explore adding chronomages to LTB for structures, and the possibility of creating arrival points for members?
A: This is not available for MHOs at this time.

Q: Will titles be available for MHO officers?
A: Titles are currently reserved for CHE use. This is not something that will be available for MHO use at this time.

Q: Can the birdseed script be added to structure building options?
A: This has been added to the structure building options as well as the LTB options. It would count as a room item. The room would need to be outside the structure. You would need to specify the type of birds that are drawn to the birdseed. The cost for this would be 500,000 silvers.

Q: Would there be any way to make trophies (pins, badges, etc.) use a dynamic year on them, so that it never has to be updated when moving into a new year?
A: I will look into what this would entail. I like the idea.

Q: Can we get a podium type script for permanent structures?
A: Currently, podiums are available for the Houses, only. It would require a large update to the current script. I'll look into it, but for now, will pull it off the table.

Q: What about submitting ideas for new tents?
A: I will look at the possibilities here.

Q: What would be the possibility of some kind of teleporter type ring for MHOs?
A: This will not be available for MHO. I realize some of the limitations for travel and getting around, but this is something that could easily abused, and completely circumvents current limitations for travel.

Q: For MHOs that are meeting their requirements, would it be possible to provide complimentary passses to pay events?
A: The rewards for meeting your monthly event are that you continue the privilege of having an MHO, and a potential structure. Allowing complimentary admittance to ticketed events is not something that can be considered at this time.

Q: How about MHOs having the ability to hire a merchant for an hour for all their members?
A: https://sites.google.com/site/gs4mho/ultimate-mho-guide/event-support/merchant-services

Q: What ever happened to the house tattoos?
A: As far as I can tell, this still exists. It would fall under the above merchant services details.

Q: Is there any chance our fishing ponds can also have swimming scripts? Maybe tap the pond to switch from fishing to swimming?
A: I will look into what this would entail.

Q: Any chance of getting repair cases added to the prize closet list?
A: Not at this time.

Q: We did an event this year that was very popular...we had lockable containers with stuff in them and then we sold keys...the key that opened the container is how the folks won a prize. Any chance of getting some type of raffle to do something like tht goin forward so we can set the packs on a table without having to call folks one by one to try the containers?
A: Probably not. This would be a pretty intense project, and it's specific to one group. I would rather my efforts (at least at this time) go toward doing things that benefit the MHOs as a whole.

Q: Can we get scripting for our garden, like you hear an animal growl across the pond, etc.
A: This is available in the Long Term Benefits, as mood messaging.

Q: Is there a way to get a picture of someone added to your structure?
A: This would be an item that you design, and could be purchased as part of the Long Term Benefits.

Q: How about submitting food/drink ideas for the MHO food carts?
A: I'll look into some kind of vehicle for this - maybe a contest, or some other method, to have MHO groups submit ideas for new food/drink.

Q: I know its been suggested before, but I would really really like the option to get a forge workshop for an MHO, similar to the wizard workshops as a tier benefit.
A: This will not be available for MHOs.

Q: At one time there was a list of MHO groups getting structures made and the order for those structures. There was a second list of MHO groups who had their structure and could get an update made to it...does that list still exist? I'd like to know when we can submit a change, and is it possible this list could be posted and updated on the MHO site?
A: I keep this updated. https://sites.google.com/site/gs4mho/ultimate-mho-guide/long-term-benefits/ltb-cycle

Q: Can you have more than one major addition in the same room? IE: a magical summoning workshop forge chamber?
A: No. That would not be possible.

Q: Can we have a random player selector (like some kind of spinner, but not with all the merchant options)?
A: I'll look into this.

Q: Previously we were unable to be in the town of Illistim because of racial issues.. may we move into town now?
A: The town specific building codes remains, and is governed by the Town Guru. These guidelines and restrictions are still in effect.

Q: Are we able to relocate our structure in the same town, but to a different location?
A: At this time, this is not something I can offer.

Q: Can we hold co-hosted events, but only request event credit for one of the groups?
A: I don't see why not. When you send in your event report, the "submitting" group will get credit for the event.

Q: Does it matter how many groups co-host an event?
A: No.

Q: Can forming a battle group and fighting in an invasion count as a spontaneous event?
A: If you make announcements about it, and wish to use one of your spontaneous events toward this, sure.

Q: Is there any way for a group to earn more calendar placements during the second half of the year, if they've used them all up in the first half?
A: Good question. I'll look into this.

Q: Can a group hold more than their required events?
A: Absolutely. In fact, in order to move from T1 to T2, you HAVE to hold more. For T1 to move to T2, they must hold two events in a year, 6 months active. For T2 to move to T3, they must hold six events in a year, 12 months active.

Q: And can we use calendar and news for events over our minimum?
A: If you have them available to you, yes.

Please make sure I have current officer/contact information for you, too. I've tried to reach some of you via email unsuccessfully, so having current information would be really good for me. I also read the forums daily, so you can always post there if it's easier for you.

And if that's it, then THANK YOU for coming. It was a great meeting. Lots of ideas and suggestions. I'll get a log posted, and will follow up with you all on your suggestions and ideas.
