OK, I have a question which may have been asked here before but I'm too lazy this morning to look back through all the postings to find out for sure.

Why is it that the only tasks available to me in the Landing are escort tasks? I understand that there are no capped creatures around the landing and that would kill skinning, gem, kid rescues, foraging tasks, etc. However, why no bandit tasks? I assume bandits gen the same way grims do, according to level, so isn't it possible to make it so those of us who are limited to only escorts could possibly get some bandit tasks from the Landing guild?

Any input would be appreciated.

Guessing, of course, but I'm calling that they don't want a capped character to just 'hang out', they want that character to 'move along'.

Bandits (and all the other tasks) = hang out.

Escorts = move along.

I'm not sure it holds true any more, of course - just saying that's where my money would be if I were a betting man and this were a bet and it was something worth betting on.

Add to this the fact that bandit tasks would make the Landing a very dangerous place for a lot of new players. We've all encountered leftover bandits on the Icemule Trail that just gank lower level players because they were left there or someone died mid task.

Now imagine a bunch of capped players who are just hanging around Landing for convenience getting nothing but bandit tasks that keep them in that area. The problem could easily get out of hand.
