get an empty jar from my sack when the first 12 jars in the sack have something in them? I am using WIZARD FE.

tried rummaging various ways.
tried tapping until I found an empty one...doesn't go beyond 12.

is there any system in place? if so, there should be. not my fault the GMs designed a system that requires an insane number of components.

I keep empties in their own sack, not mixed in with the others.

My suggestions regarding this when using the Wizard FE would be the following:

A) Use the SORT command when you have all of the same "flavor" jar.

as in- "SORT down jar in <container>" until you get it within reach.

OR

B) You can dye the jars at the alchemy shop, which might help keep them in reach within your container. Use one color for crystals, another for gems, another for herbs, etc.
GET SECOND GREEN JAR when that green jar is the thirteenth "jar" noun, but only the second GREEN one, can help keep things more manageable.

"A" won't cost you anything, and "B" won't cost you much. :)

Hope this helps you sort things out! Good luck!

Actually, I found that the SORT only did much good when the jar was at the second spot, or the last. So with that, dying your jars might be the best option, or moving them to another container.

Sorry! If the empty jar happens to be last in the bag, SORT may help. I haven't quite established a pattern, though, with a variety of filled same-look jars when using SORT on its own. (SORT JAR IN CONTAINER) Sometimes that last jar pops to the top, and sometimes not (when it is last in the container).

Hopefully mentioning evil third part programs isn't too frowned uppon, but for those that do use Lich I threw empty_jar on the repo to aid with grabiing empty jars/botles from worn containers(not locker/in hand/on the floor currently).

Yes, dying jars is great. Two things that would improve jars:

(1) Instead of just selling jars and bottles, alchemist shops should also sell other types of containers, such as beakers, etc.

(2) All alchemist shops should offer customization options for jars, like the shop in Ta'Illistim does.

Basically, the goal is to get as many adjective-noun combinations as possible. Example: green jar, blue bottle, green beaker, etc.

this is a bit late, but dying jars doesn't work for my problem really.

dying a jar would work if I planned on keeping it empty forever. but I'm trying to get an empty jar out of my sack so I can put stuff in it. I never know when I'm going to need another empty jar for alchemy.

hope this makes the problem a bit clearer. there's clearly a need for a way to rummage for empty jars.

but for now, yes I've been using empty_jar.lic and it works great. :) you made that in what...5 minutes if I recall correctly? I'm just a bit miffed simu can't do the same.

I just use two containers and shift inbetween. Might not be what you were hoping for, but it's a reasonable workaround for me.
