I've got 40 ranks armor and plan on brig for life. I think the extra 10 ranks help out, but I don't think overtraining really helps until you get over 50 ranks. How does 10 ranks overtraining help a ranger in brig?

That is, of course, if you're not planning on using any of the armor skills that some professions have access to.

The OP stated they were a ranger, so it wouldn't help them since rangers don't have access to armor skills.
