Hello All,
I'm looking into creating an Archer mage and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on training plans and stat placement. As I read the info on Ranged I guess one of the things I'm confused about is whether or not CM has any benefit to Ranged AS. also shoud I invest in earth lore for strength or air lore for haste. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You.

Great Thanks!! So CM has no bearing on Archery and a mage should double perception, pick up ambush whenever possible and ignore CM for an archery build.

You will want a decent strength also.

you'll want CM for the same reason every weapon user uses CM...disarm training. You don't want to give away your favorite weapon.

You don't need ambush. Ambush is only for aiming shots from hiding. Open archers only need Ranged and Perception.

Ambush adds as to ranged after 40 ranks. 1 as for each 4 ranks after 40.

It does but it is rather expensive for a wizard to train in and the points would likely be better spent else where until far postcap.
