This is my first time having any work done via premium scroll, so forgive me if I'm confused.

Basically, I'm requesting to have my armor taken from 7x - 8x, just standard armor, nothing special. According to the wiki, PCALC, Premium 9 etc, this indicated this should be 2800 points. I received a short response telling me PCALC was incorrect and the cost is 4000 points. I've since responded since I believe an incorrect assessment was made and unsure why I'm being charged a surcharge for temporary padding.

Do I have to do anything further, or just sit around and hope someone reads my request for clarification. I understand these things don't happen overnight, maybe I just got lucky (or not), with the rejection of my item happening within 24 hours. I just don't want to sit here endlessly waiting for clarification if none is forthcoming.

You glance over your alterer's scroll and read,
"I, xxxxx, request to have my fine-linked chainmail altered in the following manner: +5 enchant, pcalc confirms 2800 points, thanks."

The merchant's last response was: PCALC is incorrect in its cost estimate. Cost to enchant this chaimail is 4000 premium points. Base cost of 3000 for 7x-8x plus 1000 surcharge for the padding. You currently only have 2900 premium points available. I have not made any changes to the chainmail.
You can READ your scroll for more details. Please WRITE REPLY to respond, or WRITE NEW to start again.

Your last reply was: Can you please elaborate how pcalc is incorrect. Unless premium 9 is incorrect, this doesn't make sense. The item is also temporarily padded, and according to the surcharge section in premium 9, this carries no surcharge. As per premium 9, 1200 + (400 * trunc((35 - 11) / 5))) = 2800 where the truncated value is 4, according to the example given in premium 9 also.

The finished item will be a suit of fine-linked chainmail.
When you TAP or GET it, you will see a suit of exceptionally fine-linked muted chainmail.
No price has been set yet for this alteration.
This alteration will cost premium points.

Enchanting plain armor from 7x-8x should cost 2,800 PPs.

Per the wiki: Temporary Enhancements do not incur any extra charges.

Seems like you are taking the correct course of action with your response and by posting here!
