Should scarab attacks also fall under the first attack that gets negated by 319? I did avoid the attack below, but noticed no flare from 319 despite my CS being well over the TD of the scarab. Thanks

I think Mass Calm (619) also needs to be looked at in terms of how it works with 319. On a couple of occasions now, I've been calmed on the first attack from gnomes in Deadfall forest completely bypassing 319.
[Deadfall Forest]
You notice a deformed red-eyed dark gnome, a gnarled oily black tree and a gnarled oily black tree.
Obvious paths: north, east
Turning inward, you focus on suffusing a fragment of your essence into the ground at your feet. A shimmering wave ripples outward from where you stand, expanding the evanescent shield about you.
A decomposing Taladorian mage just arrived.
Barely visible among the shadows of the thick trees, a rotting corpse shambles by, a tattered Wehnimer's militia uniform hanging loosely to his mutilated body.
You chant a reverent orison and lightly clasp your emerald trident talisman. A rush of divine power washes over you. Your talisman pulses once and you feel the power of Charl gathering within you like a storm.
You are now targeting a decomposing Taladorian mage.
You chant a reverent litany, clasping your hands while focusing upon the Divine Fury spell...
Your spell is ready.
You channel at a decomposing Taladorian mage.
Particles of dust and soot rise from the ground at your feet as you release a pulsating, platinum ripple of energy toward a decomposing Taladorian mage!

The situation with 319 not working with scarab attacks came up again, so I figured I would bump this thread. I know its a minor thing, but is this on the list to be looked at?

>Would that not indicate the attack resolution failed, and as a result, 319 wasn't triggered? Or did I miss something?
319 happens first. It can happen first and fail its hidden roll, and you'll just see the scarab attack, or if its not happening at all, you'll just see the scarab attack. A player can't tell the difference between a bug and a hidden roll failure, just that the hidden roll seems to be failing more than it should.
319 should act in that situation, just as 213 does. That scarab is an environmental effect when it bit its first victim who shouldn't be protected by 319 (and isn't by 213), but after it killed that victim and went looking for another or remove curse was used to save that victim, its a critter and 319 should protect just as 213 does.

>>Just a guess here but ... judging by the huge disparity between your CS and the scarab's TD, it was a pretty low level bug. It probably just missed you on its own, so no need for 319 to even be triggered.
319 triggers first all the time, whether you actually need it or not, just the way the spell is designed. And yes, she just dodged it on her own and most likely because of that level disparity. However, against a high level scarab her chances of dodging are pretty slim which is why she brings up 319 not kicking in and saving her butt. Was it needed this time? No, but that doesn't mean it won't be needed to save her some other time in a similar situation.
