Is now a bad time to try to get an assist for premium contest wins, due to Duskruined? I've spent like, I dunno 6+ hours in queue during prime time, week day day, weekend day, weekday night, etc and no luck. Think there might be a way to give premium contest wins some kind of sadie-type scroll so we can redeem items without having to deal with the queue? For people like me that play primarily during the week, queues can take literally weeks of trying to get through.

This or, alternately, it'd be great to be able to email and set up a time to redeem these. I spent several hours between the assist queue and then the referral queue afterward.

I think that would require more coding, and the alter scroll system is comprised of like 15 scripts. I can look into it, but make absolutely no promises anything will come of it!
The good thing about the current system is that if you ASSIST before the deadline (and don't cancel it), your prize will be honored. So, if you have until May 10th to ASSIST, and you ASSIST on May 9th, even if you don't actually see a GM until May 13th, you still get your prize. Just make sure you don't cancel your assist!
As for Duskruin, I don't know if it's sapping GM resources, but GMs on duty will answer your assist if you're patient. There are only so many GMs who do shifts though, so you have to wait for one to be around.

This isn't a very good solution because the vast, vast majority of us go afk while we play this game (when resting of course). If the GM comes while you are afk, they take you out of the queue and say "Try again later!"

I've found most GMs actually SEND you a message to ask if it's a good time to deal with the issue in the assist before coming. If you don't respond for whatever reason, you stay in the queue.

This is true for about 99.999999% of the time. We always try to SEND you a message to see if you are available before popping down. The other .00000001%....accidents happen.
