Just an idea I had today while playing with Singing Sword. Have training in Summoning lore allow more than one weapon to be created when you cast the spell. At fifty ranks you get two animated weapons, at 100 you get three.

Seems like it would be fun.

It would also pretty much be limited to very post-cap Bards, since Summoning Lore is a Spirit-realm Lore and bears the extra out-of-Realm surcharge for Bards to train in.

You aren't really summoning anything tho, you are manipulating mana. Mental Lore, Manipulation would make more sense.

P.S. I would think it better for the single weapon to gain improvements in combat vs being able to control multiple weapons...

In fact I like the idea of improving this spell so much I have some other ideas to suggest instead...

1) At the 25th rank and 100th rank in Mental Lore, Manipulation the Round Time of the weapon is reduced by 1 second (total of -2 seconds at 100 ranks).

2) At 40 ranks in Bard Spellsongs the weapon gains basic vibration flares. At 75 ranks the weapon gains the ability to double-stike.

So technically a bard fully trained could have a sonic "dart" that would be able to attack every one second with potential vibration flares and double-strikes.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but, that seems a bit overpowered to me.
